kandi X-RAY | s3upload Summary
With this simple program, you can upload multiple files at once to Amazon Web Services(AWS) S3 using one command. It uploads the files, makes them public, and then prints their URLs. s3upload is written in Python3, and it uses Boto 3 to deal with AWS S3.

QUESTION
I'm trying to push my Docker image to AWS ECR and I'm getting Not Authorized
when trying to do so.
I have all of the required variables set as variables in Azure DevOps, which is what I'm using. So I'm not sure why it's not getting proper authentication.
Here's my YAML code:

Answered 2022-Feb-22 at 08:04It's better to use the Amazon ECR Push task instead of the regular Docker push.
First, build the image with Docker@2

QUESTION
We have several lambda functions, and I've automated code deployment using the gradle-aws-plugin-reboot plugin.
It works great on all but one lambda functions. On that particular one, I'm getting this error:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Dec-09 at 10:42I figured it out. You better not hold anything in your mouth, because this is hilarious!
Basically being all out of options, I locked on to the last discernible difference between this deployment and the ones that worked: The filesize of the jar being deployed. The one that failed was by far the smallest. So I bloated it up by some 60% to make it comparable to everything else... and that fixed it!
This sounds preposterous. Here's my hypothesis on what's going on: If the upload takes too little time, the lambda somehow needs longer to change its state. I'm not sure why that would be, you'd expect the state to change when things are done, not to take longer if things are done faster, right? Maybe there's a minimum time for the state to remain? I wouldn't know. There's one thing to support this hypothesis, though: The deployment from my local computer always worked. That upload would naturally take longer than jenkins needs from inside the aws vpc. So this hypothesis, as ludicrous as it sounds, fits all the facts that I have on hand.
Maybe somebody with a better understanding of the lambda-internal mechanisms can add a comment to this explaining how this can happen...
QUESTION
I'm using the Serverless Framework to create a lambda that saves a CSV to a S3 bucket.
I already have a similar lambda that does this with another bucket.
This is where it gets weird: I can upload the CSV to the first S3 bucket I created (many months back), but I'm getting an AccessDenied error when uploading the same CSV to the new S3 bucket which was, as far as I can tell, created in the exact same way as the first via the serverless.yml config.
The error is:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Nov-22 at 18:27I think you are likely missing some permissions I often use "s3:Put*" on my serverless applications which may not be advisable since it is so broad.
Here is a minimum list of permissions required to upload an object I found here What minimum permissions should I set to give S3 file upload access?
QUESTION
I have 2 apps I have re-written from older versions of Rails (3.2 and 4.2.1) to Rails v6.1.4.1 and they both use the s3_direct_upload gem.
On Both apps I do not get any errors in the Webdev console or in the Rails console or in the log or ANYPLACE I can find. The buckets are displaying just fine in the case of Both Apps.
I checked the CORS Setup and it is fine. Both of these apps are currently running on Heroku with the code the same way it is now but are working.
Does anyone know if the s3_direct_upload gem actually works with Rails 6?
I get the file select window, I choose the filename, it shows the filename but instead of it starting the upload and showing the progress bar it just acts as if I did nothing at that point. No errors no nothing anyplace I can find. When I have the original app side by side at that point I should see a quick progress bar come up and then go away, the page refreshes and shows the new file. IN the 2 Apps I have re-written, it never gets past the file select and showing the file name of what I have selected. I will show the general files so at least that can be seen:
So that is question 1, does the s3_direct_upload gem work in Rails 6?
Here are the basic files that are required:
s3_direct_upload.rb
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Nov-10 at 20:15I can confirm if you pull the latest version of the s3_direct_upload gem it does in fact properly upload to Amazon S3 using Rails 6, aws-sdk-v1 and Paperclip.
To do this you have to pull the s3_direct_upload as a plugin instead of a GEM and you can do this by putting this in your gemfile:
QUESTION
I'm following the automate_model_retraining_workflow example from SageMaker examples, and I'm running that in AWS SageMaker Jupyter notebook. I followed all the steps given in the example for creating the roles and policies.
But when I try to run the following block of code to creat a Glue job, I ran into an error:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Aug-11 at 08:12It's clear from the IAM policy that you've posted that you're only allowed to do an iam:PassRole
on arn:aws:iam::############:role/query_training_status-role
while Glue is trying to use the arn:aws:iam::############:role/AWS-Glue-S3-Bucket-Access
. So you'll just need to update your IAM policy to allow iam:PassRole
role as well for the other role.

QUESTION
I have a dockerized postgres running locally, to which I can connect to via pgAdmin4 and via psql
.
Using the same connection details, I set up an airflow connection on the UI
However, when trying to load a DAG that uses that connection, it throws an error:
Broken DAG: [/usr/local/airflow/dags/s3upload.py] Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/local/lib/python3.7/site-packages/airflow/providers/postgres/hooks/postgres.py", line 113, in get_conn self.conn = psycopg2.connect(**conn_args) File "/usr/local/lib/python3.7/site-packages/psycopg2/init.py", line 127, in connect conn = _connect(dsn, connection_factory=connection_factory, **kwasync) psycopg2.OperationalError: could not connect to server: Connection refused Is the server running on host "127.0.0.1" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 54320?
As mentioned, the postgres instance is running, and the port forwarding is active, as proven by successful pgAdmin and psql
logins.
Any ideas?

QUESTION
Question: util.promisify converts an async function that uses the error-first callback style to a Promise. However it doesn't seem to work with AWS' S3.upload (scroll down to .upload) which is an async function that uses the error-first callback format.
Original format:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Mar-23 at 01:10Before answering your question, I'd like to point out that callback style functions are usually not async function
s. util.promisify
wraps a callback style function with a promise, which is the same thing as wrapping the callback style function in an async
function.
To fix your issue you may need to properly set the this
context for the upload funciton manually. That would look something like this:

Install s3upload
You can use s3upload like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.
