QUESTION
I built an app using Django 3.2.3., but when I try to settup my javascript code for the HTML, it doesn't work. I have read this post Django Static Files Development and follow the instructions, but it doesn't resolve my issue.
Also I couldn't find TEMPLATE_CONTEXT_PROCESSORS
, according to this post no TEMPLATE_CONTEXT_PROCESSORS in django, from 1.7 Django and later, TEMPLATE_CONTEXT_PROCESSORS
is the same as TEMPLATE
to config django.core.context_processors.static
but when I paste that code, turns in error saying django.core.context_processors.static
doesn't exist.
I don't have idea why my javascript' script isn't working.
The configurations are the followings
Settings.py
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 18:56Run ‘python manage.py collectstatic’ and try again.
The way you handle static wrong, remove the static dirs in your INSTALLED_APPS out of STATIC_DIRS and set a STATIC_ROOT then collectstatic again.
Add the following as django documentation to your urls.py
QUESTION
I am working on a project where I get emails with a specific 'subject'. There are forwarded to me by users. The body consists of text but in the original email and no new text is entered above the forwarded line. There are also attachments to either of the part of the email.
I wrote the following code using python and IMAP and am able to store attachments and body only if the email is NEW and not a forwarded email.
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 22:07Seems like you already have the part where you are extracting the attachments. Try this code to retrieve the body of a multipart email.
You may have to figure out how to merge your part with this one.
QUESTION
Here's my csv file CSV
I'm trying to take the mean of columns "Angle Min" and "Angle Max" and then multiply every row in the resulting dataframe with the "Angle Conversion Factor" in cell D8. Likewise I want to do the same with "Torque Min" and "Torque Max" (get the mean and then multiply the resulting dataframe by the "Torque Conversion Factor" in Cell E8).
Here's my code so far:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 21:54Your AngleConcFactor
and TorqueConvFactor
remain as 1x1 DataFrames in your code.
Just a slight cleanup of your function might give you what you need:
QUESTION
In C++20, we got the capability to sleep on atomic variables, waiting for their value to change.
We do so by using the std::atomic::wait
method.
Unfortunately, while wait
has been standardized, wait_for
and wait_until
are not. Meaning that we cannot sleep on an atomic variable with a timeout.
Sleeping on an atomic variable is anyway implemented behind the scenes with WaitOnAddress on Windows and the futex system call on Linux.
Working around the above problem (no way to sleep on an atomic variable with a timeout), I could pass the memory address of an std::atomic
to WaitOnAddress
on Windows and it will (kinda) work with no UB, as the function gets void*
as a parameter, and it's valid to cast std::atomic
to void*
On Linux, it is unclear whether it's ok to mix std::atomic
with futex
. futex
gets either a uint32_t*
or a int32_t*
(depending which manual you read), and casting std::atomic
to u/int*
is UB. On the other hand, the manual says
The uaddr argument points to the futex word. On all platforms, futexes are four-byte integers that must be aligned on a four- byte boundary. The operation to perform on the futex is specified in the futex_op argument; val is a value whose meaning and purpose depends on futex_op.
Hinting that alignas(4) std::atomic
should work, and it doesn't matter which integer type is it is as long as the type has the size of 4 bytes and the alignment of 4.
Also, I have seen many places where this trick of combining atomics and futexes is implemented, including boost and TBB.
So what is the best way to sleep on an atomic variable with a timeout in a non UB way? Do we have to implement our own atomic class with OS primitives to achieve it correctly?
(Solutions like mixing atomics and condition variables exist, but sub-optimal)
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 20:48You shouldn't necessarily have to implement a full custom atomic
API, it should actually be safe to simply pull out a pointer to the underlying data from the atomic
and pass it to the system.
Since std::atomic
does not offer some equivalent of native_handle
like other synchronization primitives offer, you're going to be stuck doing some implementation-specific hacks to try to get it to interface with the native API.
For the most part, it's reasonably safe to assume that first member of these types in implementations will be the same as the T
type -- at least for integral values [1]. This is an assurance that will make it possible to extract out this value.
... and casting
std::atomic
tou/int*
is UB
This isn't actually the case.
std::atomic
is guaranteed by the standard to be Standard-Layout Type. One helpful but often esoteric properties of standard layout types is that it is safe to reinterpret_cast
a T
to a value or reference of the first sub-object (e.g. the first member of the std::atomic
).
As long as we can guarantee that the std::atomic
contains only the u/int
as a member (or at least, as its first member), then it's completely safe to extract out the type in this manner:
QUESTION
[Edit: apparently this file looks similar to h5 format] I am trying to extract metadata from a file with extension of (.dm3) using hyperspy in Python, I am able to get all the data but it's getting saved in a treeview, but I need the data in Json I tried to make my own parser to convert it which worked for most cases but then failed:
Is there a library or package I can use to convert the treeview to JSON in pyhton?
My parser:

QUESTION
I am trying to create a file (.txt) in the data directory but it creates a folder
This is the code I am using
How can I create the file
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 19:13os.mkdir()
creates a directory, wheras os.mknod()
creates a new filesystem node (file), so you should change the applicable function calls to that.
Alternatively, (due to os.mknod()
not being great cross-platform), you can open
a file for writing then immediately close it again, thus creating a blank file:
QUESTION
I am pretty new to python and I am trying to sort through a directory's files that start with 'O0' and copy any string in the text files that has an 'F', 'T', or 'S' in them, and paste, preferably just that string, (but the whole line would still work) in a new text file, preferably on the desktop. It is making the text file, but it is blank, and python does not close the file. Here's what I have so far:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 14:27In the first place you are probably getting an AttributeError
error that append
is not known. Because you try to append your text to the TextIOwrapper (feeds speeds
). You have to use the write
method to append the text to the file content.
Also note that your file is read and written from the current directory, so ./feedsspeeds.txt
. As long as you are not executing this script from you Desktop folder, the file will also not be written there.
QUESTION
I am trying to parse many XML test results files and get the necessary data like testcase name, test result, failure message etc to an excel format. I decided to go with Python.
My XML file is a huge file and the format is as follows. The cases which failed has a message, & and the passed ones only has . My requirement is to create an excel with testcasename, test status(pass/fail), test failure message.
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 17:46Since your XML is relatively flat, consider a list/dictionary comprehension to retrieve all child elements and attrib
dictionary. From there, call pd.concat
once outside the loop. Below runs a dictionary merge (Python 3.5+).

Install OS
You can use OS like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.
