In that case (see Traverse multiple foreign keys in Django DetailView), I was able to follow the flow of Foreign Keys to make the needed connection when defining the view. In this case I need to traverse through a ManyToMany junction table, and I'm stymied. Here's an ER diagram of the relevant portion of my model.
