Dears, I have a jersey - spring api deployed on apache tomcat 9.0.46. (Jersey to handle restful services JAX-RS and Spring to handle all my beans{controllers, DAO, SessionFactory, JPA etc...}). Everything works fine on tomcat 9 on windows... When deploying the exact same war in ubuntu tomcat 9.0.46, the ContextLoader is getting triggered 3 times and I have all my singletons instantiated 3 times. I'm deploying the api on tomcat ports 80 and 443 (https - godady certificate). once I start tomcat the war is deployed and ports 80 and 443 get started (netstat -tulnp | grep java) and I see in log all singletons instantiated. (pool-2) Applicationcontext class my custom spring @Configuration class and it is getting triggered and DB is accessed without any issues

            Answered 2021-Jun-14 at 12:43

I have managed to figure out the problem. The issue was related to tomcat configuration in /conf/server.xml. Multiple Hosts will trigger the context loader to be triggered for each. I was keeping the default appBase to webapps for all host thus triggering the ContextLoader of each my war for each host. Another reason the ContextLoader will triggered multiple times as well is defining the option inside unless you need to load something external to your war. I recommend reading specs: https://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-4.1-doc/config/host.html

Sending Access reports by email as HTML
            Asked 2021-Jun-13 at 22:17

I have an MS Access report that contains records of clients from one table (including the email address) and linked grouped records from other tables fetched by a Query.

I want to send the content of the report to each client separately in the body of the email (not as an attachment), I am able to get the text put in the body of the email but without the formatting and without the picture in the header.

I used the following code which runs behind a click of a button. I would appreciate if anyone can help with the formatting issue AND if there is a way I can automate sending the emails for my 200+ clients without clicking the button each time (like a loop or something):

            ANSWER

            Answered 2021-Jun-13 at 22:17

Since MS Access reports are specialized rich text formats, conversion to HTML is not easily available. You would need to rebuild your report with HTML markup. However, there is another approach.

Consider creating an Outlook email template (.oft) with all needed images, colors, fonts, and other formatting with placeholders such as %...% markers:

            Dear %ClientName%:

Thank you for purchase of %product% for %totalsales% on %salesdate%. We appreciate your business of %years% years.

            %salestable%

            Best wishes,
            MyCompany Management

Then, have MS Access loop through a recordset of email details and text for message body to fill in placeholders. Handle any date/current/percent formatting in SQL or VBA. Because you need a group level multi-record summary, run two loops at 1) client level and 2) sales level.

            Dears,

Can you please help me if there is a way to add another data source to existing report (rpt file) that I have on production environment, but I only have rpt file not the whole solution.

I tried to add new connection and add the fields I want, but multiple datasources warning appear and rpt file will show blank in browser once I opened it. I tried also to add subreport which depend on the new data source and I linked it with the main report but still same issue blank report in production environment.

            Any help will be appreciated.

            Thanks

            • Database Fields > Database Experts, adding new connection:

I added new connection, you can see it down

            • After adding, VS will ask me for the old XML File which I don't have it so I will just click cancel then the new fields will be added to Database Fields. At this point, rpt file will be shown as blank. Any help with this issue?

            Answered 2021-Jun-10 at 13:24

Linking to a second data source in the main report requires that the link is based only on one column and that this shared column has the same data type and size.

If you need a more complex join, then going with a subreport is a good option. Start by creating a new main report that acts as the design of the subreport. If it returns the expected information, insert it as a subreport. That step cannot cause the the main report to go blank. You should then be able to add a link to the subreport and make progress.

Dear Stackoverflow community, I have an excel file "big_excel.xlsx", which comprises of four columns namely "date_column","efficacy", "composition" and "testgroups". Basically, I have splitted this excel quarterly "q1..q4", so that I can compare values in each column with 4 different excels that I recieved from 4 different sources which are supposed to be 100% identical. This excels from sender are such that elements are already sorted in such way that it should match exactly with the excel which are splitted quarterly. My code works perfectly for quarter q1. And to compare I have used ".equals" because it can have nans. Now I have to apply same code concept for the remaining quarters q2..q4.

One approach could be defining a function which takes one quarter dataframe and the corresponding test dataframe for that quarter and returns the original dataframes with the comparing columns. Something like:
