kandi X-RAY | euca2ools Summary
Euca2ools are command line tools used to interact with Amazon Web Services (AWS) as well as other services that are compatible with AWS, such as Eucalyptus. They aim to use the same input as similar tools provided by AWS for each service individually along with several enhancements that make them easier to use with multiple clouds at once.

QUESTION
I have a fresh install of Euca 4.4.4 following the manual install procedure NOT the fast-start. I've successfully initiated the cloud and am trying to register UFS with the CLC, which is on the same server/localhost. Registration fails with a python error about proxies. Registering any other services fails in the same way. Does anyone have any ideas on what is going on or should I file a bug report? Thanks!

Answered 2017-Feb-09 at 06:10You are using sudo to install packages on the global system-wide Python installation; but this is not where your application is configured to work.
Your application is using a different environment (perhaps a virtual environment); and in that virtual environment you don't have the package installed.
You should make sure you activate your virtual environment before installing any packages; and don't use sudo

Install euca2ools
You can use euca2ools like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.
