You are running the project via Java 1.8 and add the --add-opens option to the runner. However Java 1.8 does not support it.

So, the first option is to use Java 11 to run the project, as Java 11 can recognize this VM option.

Another solution is to find a place where --add-opens is added and remove it. Check Run configuration in IntelliJ IDEA (VM options field) and Maven/Gradle configuration files for argLine (Maven) and jvmArgs (Gradle)

I think the problem is that you are trying to use the deprecated babel-eslint parser, last updated a year ago, which looks like it doesn't support ES6 modules. Updating to the latest parser seems to work, at least for simple linting.

So, do this:

In package.json, update the line "babel-eslint": "^10.0.2", to "@babel/eslint-parser": "^7.5.4",. This works with the code above but it may be better to use the latest version, which at the time of writing is 7.16.3.
Run npm i from a terminal/command prompt in the folder
In .eslintrc, update the parser line "parser": "babel-eslint", to "parser": "@babel/eslint-parser",
In .eslintrc, add "requireConfigFile": false, to the parserOptions section (underneath "ecmaVersion": 8,) (I needed this or babel was looking for config files I don't have)
Run the command to lint a file

Then, for me with just your two configuration files, the error goes away and I get appropriate linting errors.

Transparent iFrame blocks mouse event when using react-scripts start

Has anyone ever come across this issue?

When using react-scripts start, everything seems ok on first load. As soon as a change is made to a file, all the mouse event seem to stop working (can't click on buttons, inputs, no tooltips etc.), even though the browser appears to update.

If I refresh the page the events work again, until a file is changed.

This isn't a problem in production as the watcher isn't involved there.

Any ideas?

EDIT:
I've found the problem but I'm not sure what the solution is. It appears that a iFrame is added to the DOM when the watcher reloads. It looks like it has something to do with licenses. The body within the iFrame is empty but there is some minified JS with a comment on the top line:

/*! For license information please see iframe-bundle.js.LICENSE.txt */

Does anyone know how to prevent this iFrame appearing.

Hi am facing an issue while running flutter project in MacBook Air M1 chip Lap. Tried all possibilities couldn't find where is the exact problem.

All basic solutions like flutter clean, flutter pub get, pod deintegrate & install, flutter build ios, flutter run but still same issue. only on iOS simulator not deploying.

I have been facing this same issue for some time now. the same setup is working nicely in a mac with intel chip. But i have even done a resetup of my system, m1 mac still throws the same error.

I am having problems with npx create-react-app involving global installs. My confusion arises because as far as I'm aware the create-react-app package is not installed on my machine.

Some Details:

I start a react project (with typescript template) as I have previously and recently done on this same machine a number of times:

npx create-react-app --template typescript .

I get this prompt from the terminal

Need to install the following packages: create-react-app Ok to proceed? (y)

I press y to confirm it's okay to proceed. (If I press n, the process terminates with the following error: npm ERR! canceled.) The terminal then displays the following message

there are a few symptoms I would like to suggest looking into:

There is a WARNING in your error log SetuptoolsDeprecationWarning: setup.py install is deprecated. Use build and pip and other standards-based tools. You have MANIFEST.in, setup.py and setup.cfg probably conflicting between them. Because setup.py is the build script for setuptools. It tells setuptools about your package (such as the name and version) as well as which code files to include. Also, An existing generated MANIFEST will be regenerated without sdist comparing its modification time to the one of MANIFEST.in or setup.py, as explained here.

Please refer to Building and Distributing Packages with Setuptools, also Configuring setup() using setup.cfg files and Quickstart for more information

Maybe not so important, but another thing worth looking into is the fact that there are 2 different python distributions being used at different stages, as Python 3.10 is used at: Using pip 22.0.2 from $PREFIX/lib/python3.10/site-packages/pip (python 3.10) (it is also in your conda dependencies) and Python 3.8 is used at: File "/Users/jespinoz/anaconda3/lib/python3.8/site-packages/conda_build/tarcheck.py", line 53, in info_files raise Exception('info/files') which is where the error happens. So maybe another configuration conflict related to this.
