Flutter - Listening to one value through whole app
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 20:04

Iam using EventChannel to handle events from hardware barcode scanner. EventChannel is initialized in initState, in main class - it works through whole app. While change is detected, it inserts value into global variable (ValueNotifier - i dont know, if it is right) and then I need to work with that value in multiple widgets. I need some sort of widget, which will tell me, that value updated and it will trigger onEvent function - something like RawKeyboardListener. I tried using listeners, but when i do pushNamed, the listener is still listening and it runs code from previous pages, while scanning.

Is there any widget, that would be suitable for me? (cant use ValueListenableBuilder, because it has no "onEvent" function) Or is there any way, to remove and add listeners while moving between pages, or while modal bottom sheet is opened? (I need to access previous listeners, after Navigator.pop)

How To Rotate Proxies and IP Addresses using R and rvest
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 11:09

I'm doing some scraping, but as I'm parsing approximately 4000 URL's, the website eventually detects my IP and blocks me every 20 iterations.

I've written a bunch of Sys.sleep(5) and a tryCatch so I'm not blocked too soon.

I use a VPN but I have to manually disconnect and reconnect it every now and then to change my IP. That's not a suitable solution with such a scraper supposed to run all night long.

I think rotating a proxy should do the job.

Interesting question. I think the first thing to note is that, as mentioned on this Github issue, rvest and xml2 use httr for the connections. As such, I'm going to introduce httr into this answer.

            Using a proxy with httr

The following code chunk shows how to use httr to query a url using a proxy and extract the html content.

I'm gathering text in form using textarea and I plan to render that text using .innerHTML so that the user can make the content bold, italic and underlined. I might decide to increase the flexibility to allow coloured text using style attribute as well.

I have considered using regex to match the text but I'm hoping for a more elegant solution.

One approach is to convert all elements to text and whitelist elements you want to allow. With innerText the browser converts all html entities to their code. Then you can read actual code with innerHTML and replace whitelisted elements.

css positioning problem with hover pseudo class
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 01:41

I'm trying to design a simple page for practicing with just html and css. I used a hover pseudo class for the croissant image. It works but when I hover the mouse over the croissant the coffee cup image will move to right a little(almost 50 or 100 pixels) and when I hover off of the croissant the coffee cup will back in its position before. meanwhile I'm new in web design and just start learning few days. here's my code:

            In details:

            1. relative
              ...
if you do give it some other positioning attribute, say, top: 10px;, it will shift its position 10 pixels down from where it would normally be.
              ...
            2. absolute
              ...
use the positioning attributes top, left, bottom, and right to set the location. Remember that these values will be relative to the next parent element with relative (or absolute) positioning. If there is no such parent, it will default all the way back up to the element itself meaning it will be placed relative to the page itself

Mongo Atlas recently changed root certificates from IdenTrust to ISRG. They rotate certificates every 45 days. Your cluster started to use new root CA on the last scheduled rotation.

Something like this should tell you what CN is being used:

Problem: I have a class (PortableFoo) designed to be very portable. It contains a scoped class PortableBar. The surrounding codebase (call it Client A) requires both Foo and Bar to have a function that cannot be implemented portably, and Foo's implementation must call Bar's implementation. The following is a solution that compiles and works in GCC, but I know invokes undefined behavior when it casts the reference from base to derived:

If you're using the jdbc:mariadb: protocol, then you should use the MariaDB Connector/J, not the MySQL Connector/J driver. The MySQL Connector/J driver only knows about the jdbc:mysql: protocol.

Or alternatively, if you want to continue to use MySQL Connector/J, then you should use protocol jdbc:mysql:. However, given MySQL and MariaDB are - I assume - diverging, it is better to use the driver specifically written for MariaDB.
