            When adding one commit - db.session.add(new_professor) the program executes properly, when adding a second commit db.session.add(prof_hindex) this is the error:

            You've got a bit of nomenclature mixed up. In your case saying "I want to add multiple items" means "I want to add multiple Professor rows". But looking at your code, it would appear you're actually asking "how do I add multiple attributes when adding a single Professor row".

            Add align-self: flex-start; to the second flex container that has the class tt-people-col-2. That fixes your alignment, then to clean it up a bit, you can add gap: 20px; on your parent flex-container since you are using flex-wrap: nowrap;. You will notice the spacing between the two

            tags are off, since you are using Bootstrap you can just add some mt. However, I would nest the text in another div.

            I've come to learn that there are linear time sorting algorithms that don't run by comparisons like radix sort. My hope is to have a sorting algorithm that runs in linear time but can also run in constant time by running n threads for n elements. From the research I've done, this seems possible on a PRAM CRCW machine but I've found conflicting information as to whether the algorithm that runs on a PRAM CRCW machine can be run on a standard consumer computer in the same constant time.

            FYI, the algorithm in question is here. This is pretty interesting as well.

            Let's clarify the facts first. We can agree on what "consumer"-processors are - the most often a COTS term is right this - a Custom-Over-The-Shelf processor, as anyone can go and buy. So is the set of properties of any such COTS hardware, being pre-defined by the silicon structures pre-fabricated "inside" such processor.

            On the contrary, the CRCW PRAM term is knowingly & intentionally a highly abstract, ultimately idealised property of any such processor architecture, that can (without having any limits in time or other compromises) Concurrently Read (under any and all levels of parallelism) and also Concurrently Write (under any and all levels of parallelism) from/into any memory location ("address") all at once, adding some additional créme-a-la-créme property, like to performe a sum of all CW-s, before actually storing a such resulting value. Any such physical implementation of these abstract properties, that meets them all under any circumstances, having no exceptions to doing so in full parallel-mode, can be called a CRCW PRAM and never otherwise.

            This said, the CRCW PRAM architecture is by far not met, not even being anywhere close to it, in any of the current COTS processor hardware silicon.

            Such question is leading, by definition, to actually unachievable wish to have an architecture-A get "implemented" by using an architecture-B (which can never be turned into meeting an architecture-A, even if composing many such COTS processors (as defined) into some interconnected macro-structure, which may turn some of the COTS hardware properties a bit "closer" to the CRCW PRAM, yet at such devastatingly adverse costs or slowness of operations, that such attempts can result but in something ultra-expensive + ultra-power-inefficient + ultra-slow ( being about N2 ~ 3 sub-sampled and having a need to artificially "wait" for all the slowest parts for a full-width of the parallelism to get physically completed, if viewed from the macro-structure point of view).

            Using any amount of superscalar, M-way pipelined, out of order executing CISC silicon for achieving a macro-structure topological trick just for simulating a "slowed down" CRCW PRAM is IMHO technically not a right way to go ( if we want to enjoy a reasonably practical O( k )-sorting machine ).

            If using a current level of QPU processors, we may "somehow" enjoy a constant time QUBO (a single hardware-instruction quantum processor in the current line of the D-WAVE systems' machines ), I would hesitate to consider this corner-case (topologically setup to bear "inital" state and letting The Nature ( the laws of physics ) to "execute" a quantum-annealing "algorithm" to result in a statistical-distribution of results, answering the problem solution in constant time ) a COTS, which it is not, is it?

            I'm reviewing and experimenting with outlier flagging strategies, and keep running into references to Sn and Qn from Rousseeuw and Croux in Alternatives to the Median Absolute Deviation.

            They sound quite excellent, and seem to be widely used in academic and applied stats across disciplines. I checked Google Scholar, and that paper has over 2,100 citations.

            The appealing feature of this technique is that it isn't heavily impacted by asymmetric distributions. Which is what we've got, most of the time. Sometimes quite extremely.

            This is of course available in R, but I'm not a stats person, we don't have server-side access to R (or Python), and would like to do some searches directly in Postgres. I haven't been able to find anything in any SQL idiom, and am hoping that some stats lover out there has some Postgres code up their sleeve.

            Now I know why people do this sort of work in R: Because R is fantastic for this kind of work. If anyone comes across this in the future, go get R. It's a compact, easy-to-use, easy-to-learn language with a great IDE.

            If you've got a Postgres server where you can install PL/R, so much the better. PL/R is written to use the DBI and RPostgreSQL R packages to connect with Postgres. Meaning, you should be able to develop your code in RStudio, and then add the bits of wrapping required to make it run in PL/R within your Postgres server.

            For outliers, I'm happy with univOutl (Univariate Outliers) so far, which provides 10 common, and less common, methods, including the Rousseeuw and Croux techniques.

            I'm making some wordclouds for a project on kaggle, but this line of code isn't working. I am trying to remove all the apostrophes from a column containing text. In my corups "'s" and "'re" are two fo my most frequent "words". While the data is still in the form of a data frame I have been using this line of code df$col <- gsub("\'","", df$col).

            Below is some sample data. In my kaggle project, the text data comes in a column of a dataframe. Am I missing something? I've also tried str_replace_all and sub.

            Question: How can I improve either my method ("expand_traits" posted below) or the data structure I am trying to use? I estimate the runtime of my solution to be a few hours, which seems like I went very wrong somewhere (considering it takes ~ 10 minutes to collect all of the data, and possibly a few hours to transform it into something I can analyze).

            I have collected some data that is essentially a Pandas DataFrame, where some columns in the table are a list of lists (technically formatted as strings, so when I evaluate them I am using ast.literal_eval(column) - if that's relevant).

            To explain the context a bit:

            The data contains historical stats from League of Legends TFT game mode. I am aiming to perform some analysis on it in terms of being able to group by each item in the list, and see how they perform on average. I can only really think of doing this in terms of tables - something like df.groupby(by='Trait').mean() to get the average win-rate for each trait, but am open to other ideas.

            Here is an example of the dataset:

            The total records in the table is approximately 40,000 (doesn't sound like much) but my original idea was to basically "unpivot" the nested lists into their own record.

            My idea looks a little something like:

            Summoner Trait Record_ID name1 7 Innovator id_1 name1 1 Transformer id_1 ... ... ... name2 1 Cuddly id_2 name2 1 Glutton id_2

            Due to the number of items in each list, this transformation will turn my ~40,000 records into a few hundred thousand.

            Another thing to note is that because this transformation would be unique to each column that contains lists, I would need to perform it separately (as far as I know) on each column. Here is the current code I am using to do this to the "Traits" column, which takes my computer around 35 mins to complete (also pretty average PC - nothing crazy but equivalent to intel i5 & 16 gigs of RAM.
