Vue linting errors for defineEmits function
            Asked 2022-Apr-02 at 15:36

I'm having an issue with the linting for my Vue SPA. I'm using the defineEmits function from the script setup syntactic sugar (https://v3.vuejs.org/api/sfc-script-setup.html). The errors just do not make any sense, does anyone know how to fix this (without disabling these rules for the affected files, because it happens to every usage of defineEmits). The weird thing is that the defineProps function works without errors, which follows the same syntax. Can anyone help me out here?

My linter complains about these errors:

How to fix animation glitches in Flutter Lottie
            Asked 2022-Mar-30 at 12:09

I have an app with lots of Lottie animations. They work fine in a Windows UWP app and AirBnB sample Android app. Also look fine in lottiefiles.com online test tool.

But they are glitchy in Flutter using Lottie for Flutter package. Not all of them, but many, maybe around a third.

Full source code below, you can try for yourself.

Glitches are either frame overlaps or blinking, as if there is a gap between frames.

Glitches are consistent, i.e. always happen in the same place, so does not seem like a performance issue. Also, they are not happening between repeats, but in the middle of the animation, so again not an application issue but seems to be the issue with how they are rendered.

I have tried loading them as composition from memory with a controller. I have also tried a vanilla asset load to rule out issues with my implementation, and they are behaving the same. The issue appears both in the emulator and the actual phone. So it seems to me it is not caused by the way I implemented but by the Lottie package itself, or perhaps an issue with Lottie JSON that for some reason only affects Android.

Full example is below. Just paste this into main.dart and add dependency to yaml: lottie: ^1.2.1.

I use Lottie for Flutter on my applications and it works well also on emulator or on low-performance phones. The problem can be related to bad converted animations, or you can try to use Lottie.asset(yourjson) to avoid potential network fetch issues.

            ANSWER

I think the problem is that you are trying to use the deprecated babel-eslint parser, last updated a year ago, which looks like it doesn't support ES6 modules. Updating to the latest parser seems to work, at least for simple linting.

            So, do this:

            • In package.json, update the line "babel-eslint": "^10.0.2", to "@babel/eslint-parser": "^7.5.4",. This works with the code above but it may be better to use the latest version, which at the time of writing is 7.16.3.
            • Run npm i from a terminal/command prompt in the folder
            • In .eslintrc, update the parser line "parser": "babel-eslint", to "parser": "@babel/eslint-parser",
            • In .eslintrc, add "requireConfigFile": false, to the parserOptions section (underneath "ecmaVersion": 8,) (I needed this or babel was looking for config files I don't have)
            • Run the command to lint a file

Then, for me with just your two configuration files, the error goes away and I get appropriate linting errors.

Looking at the repo, eslint-config-standard@17.x.y by default works with eslint 8.8.0 (even though it's still a pre-release).

I assume you are still receiving 16.x version, which defaults to eslint@7.18.0.

Which exact version of eslint-config-standard does running npx eslint --init give you?

If you are using this for a new project, I recommend you go with eslint-config-standard@next. The project is very actively maintained, and their main focus currently is to lift everything to ESLint 8.x, so it will not be a long wait.

craco's Github readme, states that it is supporting Create React App (CRA) 4.*. By this statement, I'm assuming CRA 5 is not officially supported by craco.

However, this repository utilizes both CRA 5 and craco (but I have not verified that it is working). Use this repository to compare your setup (after verifying that the linked repositry is working), and try different settings/configs to see if you get further.

All views in Compose by default are not clip to bounds.

contentScale = ContentScale.Crop only determines scaling.

To clip content to the view size, specified by other modifiers, add Modifier.clip(RectangleShape) to your view.
