It seems someone wrote bytes in wrong way. Someone used str(bytes) instead of bytes.decode('utf-8'). Or maybe code was created for Python 2 which treats bytes and strings in different way then Python 3.

if you can correct code which write it then you have to fix text

how to load more than 20 thousand from mysql to datatable in vb.net without fatal error encountered during data read
            Asked 2021-Mar-25 at 19:10

I'm trying to load more than 20,000 records from MySQL to the Datatable in vb.net, but I got an error (fatal error encountered during data read), although I don't get the same error when I use the same SQL statement to get the data with "Where condition" to get fewer data and indeed I get about 6000 records without any problem or error, as I googled about the problem I found some expected solution like:

            • set net_write_timeout=99999
            • set net_read_timeout=99999

            I changed them from variables of MySql but the error still, and in my connection string I set the Connect Timeout=500;

is there any suggestion about my issue? and how I can use (set net_write_timeout=99999) directly in my SQL statement that I use to get the data?

You can use ESLint's no-useless-escape rule, which will suppress warnings when you use escape characters that don't change the string's meaning. Also see this question and its answers.

As a bit of extra info, - in a regex only has special meaning if it's inside of square brackets [ ] and otherwise does not need to be escaped. None of the instances in your regex appear to be inside such brackets, so it's safe to say the regex will work the same if you do decide to just remove the escape characters.

Hash having slashes added when appending to a list (Python)
            Asked 2021-Mar-14 at 19:13

When using os.urandom(64) it generates a string with 64 random characters, this works as intended but oddly when turning it, alongside other data into a list (I need to do this to writerow into a csv file) it turns the slashes into double slashes.

            Normal Salt: b'\xfe\x82;o\xa6\x8e\xfeF]\x140\x02+\xe9\x82\xa0j\x0e\xe19n\x02\xa0_t\xb6\xa8\xe1u\xc6\x94\x9a\xb94P\t\x83\xe0\x0e&B\xda\xe5)62\xa3l\x807\xb6\xd8\x0bU\xd0\xf1\xe0\xf7R:\xbc\xfe\x86\x96'

            Salt within the list: "b'\xfe\x82;o\xa6\x8e\xfeF]\x140\x02+\xe9\x82\xa0j\x0e\xe19n\x02\xa0_t\xb6\xa8\xe1u\xc6\x94\x9a\xb94P\t\x83\xe0\x0e&B\xda\xe5)62\xa3l\x807\xb6\xd8\x0bU\xd0\xf1\xe0\xf7R:\xbc\xfe\x86\x96'"

            Answered 2021-Mar-14 at 19:03

When printing a list, the function used on each item on the list underneath is the function repr() which escapes backslash with double backslash. However, when printing a string with print(str), it is the function str() of the object that is called.

You could try the following to understand:

            • print("this is a tab \t and this is a linebreak \n END")
            • print(["this is a tab \t and this is a linebreak \n END"])

As you can see, the first one formats the string (Using the str.str() function) while the second one does not (Using the str.repr() function).

            Does this make sense?

However, it should not change the behaviour, just the display. The string Salt is always the same, it is just not displayed the same way whether it is inside a list or not.

Unable to view HTTPS requests in Charles Proxy with Android
            Asked 2021-Jan-29 at 10:56

I am trying to debug an app on the Google Playstore so that I can see the requests that it is sending out. I've set up Charles Proxy on my computer to help me do so, but I am having issues with viewing requests sent out with https. My steps are listed below.

            My Computer:
            Manjaro Linux

            My Phone:
            Google Pixel 4a
            Android 11
            Not rooted

            My Settings:
            Using Charles v4.6.1
            Proxy Settings
            SSL Proxying Settings
My Access Control Setting's contain my phone's IP.

            My Phone Settings:
            Proxy Settings
            Certificate

Here are my steps to allow the app use SSL through charles:

            1. Download the app from the Google Playstore.
            2. Find the apk and transfer it to my PC, and then uninstall the app through the Google Playstore.
            3. Decompile the apk using Apktool from XDA Forums.

Your network config there is within , which only applies for debug builds. Did you build the application in debug mode, or for production? If you don't build in debug mode then that config won't apply.

You probably want to use instead, which applies to all builds, not just debug builds. There's a full example here: https://httptoolkit.tech/docs/guides/android/#if-you-dont-have-a-custom-network-security-config.

If that doesn't work, then it's likely that there's some certificate pinning in place in the application code itself, independent of the network security settings. To fix that you'll need to manually edit the code itself. You can also try using https://github.com/shroudedcode/apk-mitm which has a selection of automated patches that disable many common manual pinning implementations for you.

Artefacts when rendering to a framebuffer with alpha blending using WebGL2
            Asked 2021-Jan-03 at 15:45

I am trying to draw 2D metaballs using WebGL2. I render a bunch of quads with transparent radial gradient and gl.blendFunc(gl.SRC_ALPHA, gl.ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA) to a separate framebuffer. I then use the resulting texture in a fullscreen quad, where I decide if pixel should be rendered based on it's alpha value like so:

            ...

            ANSWER

            Answered 2021-Jan-03 at 15:45

I'm pretty sure the issue the texture your rendering to is 8bits. Switch it to a floating point texture (RGBA32F) You'll need to check for and enable EXT_color_buffer_float and OES_texture_float_linear

            Update

You say it won't work on mobile but you're using WebGL2 which hasn't shipped on iPhone yet (2021/1/3). As for RGBA32F not being renderable on mobile you could try RGBA16F. You'll have to check for and enable the corresponding extensions, EXT_color_buffer_half_float and OES_texture_half_float_linear. Your current code is not checking that the extensions actually exist (I'm assuming that was just to keep the code minimal)

The corruption is that your circle calculation draws alpha < 0 outside the circle but inside the quad. Before that was getting clipped to 0 because of the texture format but now with floating point textures it's not so it affects other circles.

Either discard if c <= 0 or clamp so it doesn't go below 0.

Note: you might find coloring faster and more flexible using a ramp texture. example, example2

Also note: It would have been nice if you'd created a more minimal repo. There's no need for the animation to show either issue

            Update 2

Something else to point out, maybe you already knew this, but, the circle calculation
