How to handle Trello webhooks? RoR API
            Asked 2019-May-07 at 12:06

I am new at backend developing (RoR). Sorry for my English.

Now I am working with Trello API and trying to receive (handle) webhooks. I'm using ruby-trello gem. Also I'm using ngrok.

I successfully created webhooks (in Trello). Now when I edit Trello object (marked by webhook), I have the request from Trello to my app to WebhooksController#receive.

            routes.rb:

You can log what is coming from webhook request's JSON using logger.info.

Where I need to place ruby-trello gem's config code?
            Asked 2019-Apr-29 at 15:20

I am creating rails API app for managing Trello related boards and lists. I have decided to use "ruby-trello" gem.

There is a config example at github ruby-trello page (https://github.com/jeremytregunna/ruby-trello).

            Config looks like this:

The Rails convention is to put that in config/initializers/trello.rb so that it's picked up when Rails boots.

It's odd they don't seem to mention that in the documentation.

            QUESTION

Why does my rake task succeed through CLI but fail when run through "whenever"
            Asked 2018-Jan-28 at 18:03

I'm trying to make Trello API requests on a daily basis. I'm using whenever for task scheduling and ruby-trello as the Trello API client.

When I run $ rake trello:chores everything runs as-desired. An authorized request is sent to Trello and the API calls succeed. When the same task is run on the whenever schedule the following error results:

Try to set environment variables in schedule.rb:
