R package rcites: bulk enquiry using functions "spp_taxonconcept" and "map"
            Asked 2021-Jul-25 at 07:40

I have a csv file with a list of bird species (heading=Sci.Name) which I would like to bulk enquire their CITES appendix listing using the "spp_taxonconcept" function in the package rcites.

After setting the token, loading the csv file and all the packages needed I use the following code to generate the result in the column named "results":

            Install rcite

You can download it from GitHub.
On a UNIX-like operating system, using your system’s package manager is easiest. However, the packaged Ruby version may not be the newest one. There is also an installer for Windows. Managers help you to switch between multiple Ruby versions on your system. Installers can be used to install a specific or multiple Ruby versions. Please refer ruby-lang.org for more information.

            Support

Please do! I am actually pretty much of a Ruby noob so do not hesitate to fix my mistakes. ;) RCite is at the moment lacking quite a number of major features which can partly be found in the issue tracker on Github. Please take care, though, that your pull request/patch does not break the spec examples and that it is itself thoroughly spec'ed and documented. I am going for 100% code and documentation coverage, therefore it would be cool if you could do so as well. Bonus points for topic branches.
