kandi X-RAY | usbip Summary
A Rust library to run a USB/IP server to simulate USB devices. It also enables sharing devices from an OS supporting libusb(libusb claims that it supports Linux, macOS, Windows, OpenBSD/NetBSD, Haiku and Solaris) to another OS supporting USB/IP(Linux, Windows). Sharing an CCID SmartCard from macOS to Linux is tested by running gpg --card-status.

Answered 2021-Sep-29 at 12:40Since Docker relies on the features of the Linux kernel, you'll need to make sure that you have the USB/IP module compiled into your WSL kernel. It is not there in the stock WSL kernel, so you'll need to build your own. I haven't done this with USB/IP myself, but there are reports from the Home Assistant (home automation) forums that indicate that it works.

Rust is installed and managed by the rustup tool. Rust has a 6-week rapid release process and supports a great number of platforms, so there are many builds of Rust available at any time. Please refer rust-lang.org for more information.
