This ARM template is used to install SAP HANA on a single VM running SUSE SLES 12 SP 3 or SLES 12 SP 2. For documentation on deploying a cluster of linux machines running HANA System Replication and Linux High Availability Extension, please see documentation here: cluster deployment. This template uses the Linux SKU for SAP. We will be adding additional SKUs and Linux flavors in future Versions. The template takes advantage of Custom Script Extensions for the installation and configuration of the machine. This should be used only for demonstration and sandbox environments. Azure v-net in failed state after re-deploying ARM script
            Asked 2018-Mar-06 at 16:52

I previously used this script: https://github.com/AdamBJ/SAP-HANA-ARM to spin up two Azure VMs. I wanted to use the script to spin up two more VMs, so I changed the VM names that were hard-coded into the script and tried running it again. However, the second time the script failed to deploy with the following error message:

            ...

            Answered 2018-Mar-06 at 16:52

The ARM script knocked out the custom DNS settings I had for the vnet. Re-establishing the custom settings force a redeployment of the vnet that fixed the failed state issue.
