Unity: Build failure, unable to update the SDK
            Asked 2020-Mar-30 at 20:58

            Unity Latest update 2018.3
SDK Tools and Platforms up to date according to SDK Manager.
Trying to build and run Android Build Settings.

After updating the SDK, Unity still asks me to update the SDK by pressing a button built into the software. After I do this it tells me:

Unable to update the SDK. Please run the SDK Manager manually to make sure you have the latest set of tools and the required platforms installed. See console log for details.

When I take a look at the console, it tells me:

Try installing Android SDK into some folder that does not require administrator priviledges to access (something like C:\SDKs\android-sdk). It worked for me.

Now android studio doesn't support the android tab anymore. You will have to set your requirements from project settings and set emulator using AVD manager. Below attached image will help you navigate through those steps:

Windows update apparently deleted Android SDK files from Visual Studio

First, Android SDK Location path is Android SDK path not .exe file path. Second, check the path C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk which is default path to store Android SDK by Visual Studio to see whether it exists. In my computer like this:

If it doesn't exists, it maybe have been deleted by your computer update process. Why the "Android SDK Location" field is always empty is because the path is wrong.

You can also get Android SDK path with the Android Studio which you have downloaded:

Android Stuido -> File -> Settings -> Appearance & Behavior -> System Settings -> Android SDK, then copy-and-pasted the Android SDK Location path to Visual Studio. Find it like this in Android Studio:
