QUESTION
I have 7 divs. I am trying to make a three row three column layout. Two of the divs are different sizes. I have everything the way I want it, it's just on the third row one div jumps up to row two, and it wont budge down to row three even with clear:right.I am trying my hardest to have the design Internet Explorer 11 ready before I give up and cut off all traffic to IE.
...ANSWER
Answered 2020-Aug-07 at 18:25I would suggest go for grid layout for better experience. Here is example.
QUESTION
I need to call this function in a query that sorts the records (Values) by year and cohort. E.g.: where Year 1 is Year 1 and Cohort A is Cohort A, give me Min, Max, Median and Quartiles for the Values from Cohort A.
Can you please show how I would apply this function in a query design? Thank you
ANSWER
Answered 2017-Jan-13 at 22:43You don't provide any sample data or expected results but - as the function can return one value only - you will most likely have to use the function in a subquery which you join to the main query on the field you group by in the main query. This way you will filter on the value you group by in the main query.
This will give you the requested Quartile(s). Min, Max, and Median can be obtained with the native function of Access.
Edit
Actually, it could be something like this:
QUESTION
I am trying to put together a useable set of data about glaciers. Our original data comes from an ArcGIS dataset, and latitude/longitude values were stored in a separate file, now detached from the CSV with all of our data. I am attempting to merge the latitude/longitude files with our data set. Heres a preview of what the files look like.
This is my main dataset file, glims (columns dropped for clarity)
...ANSWER
Answered 2019-Apr-24 at 02:07This a classic merging problem. One way to solve is using straight loc
and index-matching
QUESTION
The following question was asked by Michael Barton on Cross Validated and rejected because it was deemed to be a computer question. Regardless, I personally think the question is interesting and am wondering if it can be answered here.

I am fitting a gamlss model with the call:

ANSWER
Answered 2017-Aug-28 at 18:02I contacted the authors regarding this. The issue is that a negative binomial is only able to model over dispersion, whereas my data contains both under- and over-dispersed output variables, between different dependent variable groups. This results in the error for the sigma going to 0.
The problem could be that the data are underdispered. and sigma goes to zero and the derivatives produced NA’s. Try to fit double Poisson DPO() in this specific data set.
As recommended by the one of the authors, a distribution such as double poisson allows for fitting this because the standard deviation can be modelled being both more or less than the mean. When using this distribution, this solved the above problem for me and I was able to fit a model.
