QUESTION
I am having trouble tracking down documentation on this, so hoping someone knows as I am not able to get application insights to capture telemetry on starttrackevent and stopstrackevent across pages. This is an asp.net mvc application, so SPA is not in play here.
I am worried I may be doing something incorrectly, however the likely case is it doesn't support it.
Flow:
- user hits site for the first time
- user does action that triggers startTrackEvent("eventName");
- user navigates to a new page
- user does action that triggers stopTrackEvent("eventName");
-- from the appInsights readme https://github.com/microsoft/ApplicationInsights-JS/blob/master/README.md
appInsights.startTrackEvent("event");
appInsights.stopTrackEvent("event", null, {customProp1: "some value"});
ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 22:35Not per documentation, but via testing, can confirm that when a new page loads, appInsights will not persist start/stoptrackevent.
QUESTION
The highest Y position that is shown in my camera is 5 and -5. For the X its 10. I'm making a tower defense game and I want the tower to follow my mouseposition after I buy it until I click on a place in the track to build/ place it. I got so confused because I couldn't see my tower at all but now I realized that my mouse coordinates are HUGE. It's up to the hundreds on each axis. My screen obviously can't fit that. I tried even dividing the mouseposition in a vector 2 by 45 and making an offset so it can fit well. Unfortunately I have to change the values depending on the screen size so that can't work. I don't know if it matters but here's my script? This script get's called after the tower gets instantiated from the store. The store button is in the canvas if that helps? Maybe the canvas is why everything is off? How do I fix it?
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 15:03In Unity, Input.MousePosition
is measured in terms of pixels on your screen. Let's say you have a 1080p monitor - 1920 x 1080 - which is pretty common these days, that means Input.MousePosition
will be in the following range when your game is fullscreen:
- x: 0 to 1919
- y: 0 to 1079
The actual world units - the units as seen in your scene - don't matter at all and can be basically anything.
Another thing of note is that your gameworld is 3D and the physical screen is 2D. Assuming your camera is looking into open space in your world, a single pixel on the screen is represented by an infinite line in the 3D world. This line is called a ray, and you can turn a 2D screen position into a ray via Camera.ScreenPointToRay, and then find what 3D objects that line intersects with via a Physics.Raycast.
QUESTION
As you might know, most common video container files are like zip archives that contain several other files: the actual video, several audio files for different languages and several text files for subtitles and captions. If these tracks are included in the video file, that's called packaged afaik.
Now, while HTML offers the element to reference additional files, are browsers capable of choosing among different packaged tracks and display different subtitles?
How is browser support?
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 14:13No, they can't, even though the HTML standard encourages browser vendors to implement such controls.
The standard allows several audio and video tracks per media resource, and exposes them via JavaScript:
A media resource can have multiple embedded audio and video tracks. For example, in addition to the primary video and audio tracks, a media resource could have foreign-language dubbed dialogues, director's commentaries, audio descriptions, alternative angles, or sign-language overlays.
4.8.12.10 Media resources with multiple media tracks
Additionally, the standard encourages controls for different audio tracks and captions.
If the [control] attribute is present, […] the user agent should expose a user interface to the user. This user interface should include features to […] change the display of closed captions or embedded sign-language tracks, select different audio tracks or turn on audio descriptions […]
QUESTION
I have setup SendGrid for my user registration email confirmation in my .Net 5.0 app as per Microsofts instructions here: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=532713
Everything works fine until the user clicks the confirmation link in their register confirmation email.
This issue is being caused by a stray amp in my confirmation link. I am trying to understand where it is coming from and how to remove it.
When the new user clicks 'Submit' on the Register.cshtml
page they are successfully directed to the RegisterConfirmation.cshtml
page and the email is received in their inbox.
Actual behavior:
The user clicks the link in the email and hits the ConfirmEmail
page.
The user is redirected to /Index
page.
The EmailConfirmed
bool in the DB is not updated.
If I comment out the redirect to /Index in my controller, then I get a null value error shown below.

QUESTION
I have customized a progress bar when I scroll down. According to the content the progress bar gets increased with fixed and scroll up the bar get decreased.
When I tried with position: fixed
it is breaking out of the container level. It should come inside the container level with left and right aligned.
Note: I want it to be done in position: fixed
Thank you for anyone help and time, I appreciate it.
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 08:03The issue is because using position: fixed
takes the element out of the document flow. As such it has no reference to its parent for CSS to be able to calculate inherited dimensions.
In this case you can create the behaviour you require by manually calculating the percentage width as an explicit pixel value using the width of .container
.
Also note that the if
condition around the moveTrackingBar()
function definition is redundant and can be removed.

Like the state itself, I want to create multiple Log files for different processes. I am using Laravel-8. I have also created the 1 logging file with the help of logging.php in the config folder.
I want to keep track of my created commands with their own separate log file.
How can I create my separate log file for that commands?
I did this by having only a log for daily. "config/logging.php"

ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 06:17You are violating the JPA spec by accessing the persistence context in a lifecycle listener.
See the JPA Specification 4.2 Section 3.5.2
In general, the lifecycle method of a portable application should not invoke EntityManager or query operations, access other entity instances, or modify relationships within the same persistence context. A lifecycle callback method may modify the non-relationship state of the entity on which it is invoked.
"a portable application should not" is the specification way of saying: Don't do that, anything might happen. Maybe the world ends.
The fix is not to do that. Maybe be preloading the currently logged in user and reference it so you may access it in your entity listener and do not set a reference to the user, but simple store its id or similar.
QUESTION
when the page load for the first time with API request it errors out. but after page load if I put the same code back it works fine. Can someone please help what am I missing here. Or show me the trick to delay the page loading until data loads from api
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 04:27Your productData
is initially null
and will be on any subsequent renders until updated by the GET request. Attempting to access the productData.variants
throws the error because productData
is null.
You can use some loading state and conditionally render your UI. Use a null-check/optional chaining operator on the productData
state.

I don't really know where the error is, for me, it's still a mystery. But I'm using Laravel 8 to produce a project, it was working perfectly and randomly started to return this error and all projects started to return this error too. I believe it's something with Redis, as I'm using it to store the system cache. When I go to access my endpoint in postman it returns the following error:

Answered 2021-Jun-12 at 01:50Your problem is that you have set SESSION_CONNECTION=session
, but your SESSION_DRIVER=default
, so you have to use SESSION_DRIVER=database
in your .env
. See the config/session.php
