I am migrating my existing ASP.Net 5 web app to ASP.Net 6 and bump into the final hurdles of getting the integration tests to pass.

I customize WebApplicationFactory and it throws exception: Changing the host configuration using WebApplicationBuilder.WebHost is not supported. Use WebApplication.CreateBuilder(WebApplicationOptions) instead.

This seems to a be a known issue with Rails 7 and Devise now. To fix it in the meantime simply add the following line to your devise.rb.

I'm trying to create a Firebase Function but I'm running into a deploy error, even when deploying the default helloworld function.

Could not find image for function projects/picci-e030e/locations/us-central1/functions/helloWorld.

The Firebase Function deployment failed because it cannot find the image built based on your function app. There might be a problem building in your app, it could be your dependencies or files.

I replicated your issue, received the same error and solved it. There's a problem with the package.json file and package-lock.json. If you just add(without installing) your dependency in package.json you should delete or remove your package-lock.json that will be found in function directory before you deploy it again using the deployment command:

How to perform logging in ConfigureServices method of Startup.cs in ASP.NET Core 5.0
            Asked 2022-Feb-12 at 09:53

Constructor injection of a logger into Startup works in earlier versions of ASP.NET Core because a separate DI container is created for the Web Host. As of now only one container is created for Generic Host, see the breaking change announcement.

Uvicorn async workers are still working synchronously
            Asked 2022-Feb-07 at 18:39

            Question in short

I have migrated my project from Django 2.2 to Django 3.2, and now I want to start using the possibility for asynchronous views. I have created an async view, setup asgi configuration, and run gunicorn with a Uvicorn worker. When swarming this server with 10 users concurrently, they are served synchronously. What do I need to configure in order to serve 10 concurrent users an async view?

            Question in detail

This is what I did so far in my local environment:

            • I am working with Django 3.2.10 and Python 3.9.
            • I have installed gunicorn and uvicorn through pip
            • I have created an asgi.py file with the following contents

            Answered 2022-Feb-06 at 21:43

When running the gunicorn command, you can try to add workers parameter with using options -w or --workers.

It defaults to 1 as stated in the gunicorn documentation. You may want to try to increase that value.

            Keep it easy.
Certs inside your application are complex - they are hard to manage and you will get problems to run your application in a modern cloud environment (start new environments, renew certs, scale your application, ...).

Simple conclusion: Dont implement any certs.

            How-to get encrypted connections?

As Mike already pointed out in the comments: WebSockets are just upgraded HTTP(S) connections. A normal webserver (nginx, apache) takes care about the certs. It can be done in kubernetes (as ingress-controller) or with a "bare-metal" webserver.
Both of them should act as a reverse-proxy. This means: Your java-application doesn't know anything about certs. It has just unencrypted connections - like in your code on port 6868.
But the client will not use this port. 6868 is only internally reachable.

The client will call your reverse-proxy at the normal HTTPS port (=443). The reverse-proxy will forward the connection to your java-application.

The JAR you're using there has "no module descriptor" (see first line of output) and thus can't tell you what modules it depends on, so you have to find out yourself. The canonical tool for that is jdeps but it may not be enough.

            Static Dependencies

I wrote a jdeps tutorial that gets you started, but the interesting bit is this section. The gist is this command:
