Compiler fails - ERROR in No NgModule metadata found for 'AppModule'

Compile fails with this error. I have looked through all the posts with similar titles and not found anything helpful yet. Angular 7. I was trying to update some dependencies to resolve prod vulnerabilities, the change list for this was moving angular-devkit/build-angular to dev dependencies, removing abandoned and unused packages, adding ngx-toastr 10, upgrading jasmine-core from 3.3 to 3.8.

I have deleted, cleared cache, and reinstalled all node packages and then tried specifically doing that to angular/cli (7.1.1) and webpack (4.12.0). Edited+saved a random ts file. Added app/app.module.ts specifically to tsconfig.app.json's files param and include param. Added strictMetadataEmit:false to tsconfig.json and tsconfig.app.json compilerOptions (unknown compiler param error).

I reverted to a previous commit and re-applied the updates while ensuring it still built between each update. Didn't see the error again.

ngx-useful-swiper setup in Angular 8 gives error

I followed this guide to set up swiper slider in my Angular 8 application.

I get the below error when importing NgxUsefulSwiperModule into app.module.ts

ERROR in ./node_modules/ngx-useful-swiper/fesm2015/ngx-useful-swiper.js Module not found: Error: Can't resolve 'swiper/bundle' in 'C:\Users\Dan\NewAngular\node_modules\ngx-useful-swiper\fesm2015'

I tried deleting the node_modules folder and reinstalling everything but it fails every time.

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Looks like ngx-useful-swiper is not compatible with the latest version of swiper.

The error clearly states that ngx-useful-swiper is trying to access a file that's not available in the swiper package you just installed.

Try installing a different version of swiper slider.

Follow these steps:

afs.collection is not a function

Firebase 8 seems to have a problem. Firestore was not able to get a collection or doc element in case of error '''this.afs.collection is not a function'''. I understand, afs seems to be something like not initialized. But its set as provider in 'app.module.ts' and its not null.

Then I installed all I found, like angular/fire 6.1.5, firebase 8, ionic-native/firebase 5.36, firestore-x, firebase-authentication, cordova-plugin-firebase 2.0.5, cordova-plugin-firebase-authentication, cordova-plugin-firebasex. It feels overloaded but I still can not get the function, even if afs instance is not null.

Any ideas?

modification needed to avoid mixing libraries. Mainly explained in app.module:

removed after Import firebase.initializeApp(environment.firebase);
added in imports: AngularFireModule.initializeApp(environment.firebase),
removed: AngularFireAuthModule
removed in providers: { provide: AngularFirestore, useValue: {} },
instead added in providers: { provide: SETTINGS, useValue: {} },
removed in providers: Firebase,

Karma not running unit test after Angular 12 upgrade

Following the guide we upgraded angular 11 to 12. Before the upgrade karma is running the unit tests without any issues. However, after the upgrade this is what we end up with. Any idea how to check whats wrong.

I also compared the source with a refresh angular 12 project (karma works here), but changes did not make any difference.

Did you ensure that the versions of karma, karma-chrome-launcher, karma-cli, karma-firefox-launcher, (all other karma packages) and jasmine packages were the same between the fresh Angular 12 version and your project? And then did you run a fresh npm install after making sure the versions are the same?

After that, try comparing test.ts, angular.json and tsconfig.spec.json between the fresh project and your project to ensure they are the same.

We recently upgraded to Angular 12 and "typescript": "4.2.4". I use WebStorm 2020.3.

My template files suddenly fail to recognize pipes such as date or async and public component properties (that were previously recognized and I'm not the only member of my team impacted this way). But, the app compiles without issues.

This is my first time asking a question here. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I was able to resolve the issue by running rm -rf node_modules && npm i on my project file in the terminal.

We figured it out. As you can see in our packages.json, we have a dependency on webpack. It seems angular-devkit/build-angular does as well. We believe this created the known issue of multiple webpacks colliding and causing issues. Removing our dependency on webpack fixed the issue.

This is because one of your dependencies is trying to access the Event object, which is not available by default server side.

you can delete node_module and then you npm install in your terminal, if not work idon't know. but in error failed built node_modul. Or, u update nvm version maybe work
