So, I have an assignment and I need to build an administration for the borrowed books. I have a list of books(100 books) in a listofbooks.json. From listofbooks.json, I can add books to the other jsonfile named Borrowedbooks.json, but the problem is I can't "unloan" the book. So what I try to do to "unloan" a book is:

So from what I am understanding is that when you input 2 into a returned book ID variable or array, you can only get index of 2 instead of ID of 2.

What you can do is use bookID = json.get('ID') and a function to check similar to what you did up there. You are using arrays so keep that in mind.

I'm a very beginner programmer and doing a project currently where i have multiple checkboxes you can check after creating your account. Sadly, the account doesn't know how to remember the boxes the user checked on his account. So the question is simple : how do i make it so that the user's choices are registered to his account?

I am assuming, your project has a database to store registered users information. If so, then create a table in the database. On that table, create one column for each options that a user can checked, alone with a column for user id as foreign key. Then set a value (typically 1) to each of the column for a specific user id to that table to remember which options the user checked.
