            I figured out why we need this

            required-api: param name="#target"

            OPTIONAL(not compulsory)

            It declares the name of the unit(in question it is main) requiring the listed apis. Only one instance of the param “#target” is allowed. When there is not instance of this param, it behave as if the target main was specified.

            Install Iris

            Iris is built using CMake. If on Linux, to build from source, simply do:. And then simply open the generated .sln with whatever editor of your preference and build. Generated RPM's default install to /usr/local/Iris on UNIX, and C:\Program Files\Iris on Windows.
            Add the path to the install to your CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH.
            FIND_PACKAGE( Iris )
            Link against the iris library.
