kandi X-RAY | boost-for-react-native Summary

boost-for-react-native is a C++ library typically used in Mobile, React Native applications. boost-for-react-native has no bugs, it has no vulnerabilities, it has a Permissive License and it has low support. You can download it from GitHub.

This is a copy of Boost that is used to build React Native from source. It includes just the Boost source code (without the docs, for example) so that downloading and extracting the files doesn't take too long. You probably don't want to directly use this repository. Its sole purpose is to distribute the Boost code for building React Native. This library does not necessarily follow semver. It follows Boost's versioning plus a number in the prerelease identifier position. React Native declares the exact version of this library it depends on instead of using semver ranges.

I have created an app using React Native and am trying to create an iOS app store build through Expo's eas-cli.

When running eas build --platform ios the Fastlane build failed with unknown error

After checking the "Run Fastlane" section in the Expo build log, multiple errors are shown:

There are a number of things to look into.
If you are running Expo in the SDK then no need for cocoa pods just the most up-to-date version of the CLI tool.

Run expo --version to determine what version you are currently working with. Update if needed.

Adding a profile might be useful too. Along with checking your config. Configuring EAS Build with eas.json

eas build --platform ios --profile distribution

Also, be sure that all the apple certificates are active and connected to your Expo account for that project.

Ok, so I kind of fixed it.

What I did was to reinstall npm & nvm with homebrew, delete the package-lock.json and then run npm install. For some reasons, I didn't have any folders named "node_modules" and my package-lock didn't contain any lines with the module "react-native" so I added it back.

Now I'm stuck with something else but I guess I'll have to open a new ticket !

I recently encountered a similar issue with boost after updating react native. After the panic wore off, and some good coffee, I was able to resolve by doing the following:

            1. Open the /ios/.xcworkspace file in Xcode.
            2. Raise the iOS Deployment Target (in my case I only bumped to 10).
            3. Product > Clean Build Folder, then Product > Run.
            4. Locate the boost error in the issue navigator and identify which pod the error is listed under (in my case it was RNReanimated).
            5. Update the node package related to the pod (in my case, npm update react-native-reanimated
            6. Finally, run pod install

After performing those steps, I was able to get my project up and running again.

I think your pod install working fine and has done its job. You need to set up iPhone SDK on your mac then try to run cd ../ && react-native run-ios.

The Swift pod iDenfySDK depends upon MaterialComponents and JGProgressHUD, which do not define modules. To opt into those targets generating module maps (which is necessary to import them from Swift when building as static libraries), you may set use_modular_headers! globally in your Podfile, or specify :modular_headers => true for particular dependencies.

I am not new to React Native, have been working on this for a while, but the issue which I am facing right now is pretty much new. I am fed up with this problem. The problem I am facing is, I cannot run the app on the iOS simualator. I have tried almost every way to solve this, but could not.

            My Trials:

            1. Removing Pods and Podfile.lock and then doing pod install and react-native run-ios
            2. removed node_modules and package-lock.json and then Pods, Podfile.lock and then doing npm install -> pod install -> react-native run-ios
            3. Opening Xcode, cleaning the Build, and then react-native run-ios
            4. Running react-native start --reset-cache and then react-native run-ios
            5. Doing pod update and then react-native run-ios

It is still failing, and it throws me a lot of error on the console. I am confused and horrified with this situation. Till morning every thing was working fine, but now nothing works

If it's urgent and you don't need to test things on Flipper, try to remove all references to Flipper in iOS side.

It would be commenting this part in AppDelegate.m

Run pod update Firebase/Core, and repeat for every problematic dependency.

The problem here is that the previously installed version of Firebase’s iOS library is different from the version that is required by the Native Module. The pod install command never updates Pods from versions listed in the lockfile.
