I'm facing the same problem using the latest compose navigation dependency 2.5.0-alpha03.

Here is a dirty workaround :

You are running the project via Java 1.8 and add the --add-opens option to the runner. However Java 1.8 does not support it.

So, the first option is to use Java 11 to run the project, as Java 11 can recognize this VM option.

Another solution is to find a place where --add-opens is added and remove it. Check Run configuration in IntelliJ IDEA (VM options field) and Maven/Gradle configuration files for argLine (Maven) and jvmArgs (Gradle)

Simply use Room 2.4.0-alpha03

I know this does not solve your problem directly, but consider moving to springdoc which most recent release supports Spring Boot 2.6.0. Springfox is so buggy at this point that is a pain to use. I've moved to springdoc 2 years ago because of its Spring WebFlux support and I am very happy about it. Additionally, it also supports Kotlin Coroutines, which I am not sure Springfox does.

If you decide to migrate, springdoc even has a migration guide.

Since you're already using Docker, I'd suggest using a multi-stage build. Using a standard docker image like golang one can build an executable asset which is guaranteed to work with other docker linux images:

This failure is likely due to an issue between java 17 and older lombok versions. Building with java 17.0.1, lombok 1.18.20 and maven 3.8.1 caused a vague "Compilation failure" for me as well. I upgraded to maven 3.8.3 which also failed but provided this detail on the failure:

java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot read field "bindingsWhenTrue" because "currentBindings" is null

Searching for this failure message I found this issue on stackoverflow leading me to a bug in lombok. I upgraded to lombok 1.18.22 and that fixed the compilation failure for a successful build.

To test a MRJAR the classes must be packaged as a jar, so don't use surefire with target/classes, but instead use failsafe during the verify phase. And you must run it at least twice, once per targeted Java version. I would write a unittest, that works for all Java versions, but might skip certain tests.

Apps that target Android 12 (API level 31) or higher can't start foreground services while running in the background, except for a few special cases. If an app tries to start a foreground service while the app is running in the background, and the foreground service doesn't satisfy one of the exceptional cases, the system throws a ForegroundServiceStartNotAllowedException.

• After the device reboots and receives the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED, ACTION_LOCKED_BOOT_COMPLETED, or ACTION_MY_PACKAGE_REPLACED intent action in a broadcast receiver.
