I'm doing some scraping, but as I'm parsing approximately 4000 URL's, the website eventually detects my IP and blocks me every 20 iterations.

I've written a bunch of Sys.sleep(5) and a tryCatch so I'm not blocked too soon.

I use a VPN but I have to manually disconnect and reconnect it every now and then to change my IP. That's not a suitable solution with such a scraper supposed to run all night long.

I think rotating a proxy should do the job.

Interesting question. I think the first thing to note is that, as mentioned on this Github issue, rvest and xml2 use httr for the connections. As such, I'm going to introduce httr into this answer.

ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS in a Flask application. Works in local but not in server

In local my Flask application works fine, and when I use /editing_buddy it redirects me correctly. The thing is, when I upload it to the server, it always gives me 404 Error.

If I try to use @app.route decorator, I get a TOO MANY REDIRECTS error. My server is hosted by Wikimedia in funpedia.toolforge.org if that helps. It's a webservice with kubernetes backend.

You are literally redirecting in your methods to the exact same method you're doing the redirect from. By doing so you are creating an endless loop, and TBH this should even throw errors locally.

I advise you to give this medium.com article a good read to make sure you set up both Dash and Flask correctly, using the Application Factory Pattern.

I have a JS function that works with a button; basically, it's supposed to show the HTML code after clicking the button. However, for some reason, when I load the page, the HTML is visible before clicking the button; clicking the button once makes the code disappear, and then clicking it again makes the code re-appear. It seems like the function is doing the opposite of what I want it to do, but I have no idea why it's doing this: comparing my code to other code that does what I want it to do, I don't see any visible differences.

I'm trying to implement a Firebase function that generates a custom token for my app. But I keep getting the following error message :

Error: could not handle the request

Or it ends up in timeout.

Your Cloud Function is an HTTPS one. In order to terminate it you need to call res.redirect(), res.send(), or res.end() as explained in the doc.

In your code you actually return the Promises chain: this is the correct way to terminate Cloud function triggered by background events (which is not the case of an HTTPS Cloud Function which is triggered by a call to the URL it exposes).

So, the following changes should do the trick (untested):

Firstly: Yes, i know there's lots of this question already asked but no one really helped me much.

-I've tried making a simple Auth with my username+password from MySQL credentials into the Postman but didn't worked

I've tried to remove the cookies from postman and that did not work.

It was my fault from the start: It was automatically checked from the checkbox in IntelliJ "Spring Security". I unchecked it and it all worked.

Do you explicitly need version 2.12.2 of jackson-dataformat-xml?

Problem

jackson-dataformat-xml:2.12.2 is not compatible with jackson dependencies 2.11.4. Spring Boot overwrites Jackson dependencies that are not specified other way in dependencies block or in dependencyManagement.

Solution

If you don't need 2.12.2 then just define the jackson-dataformat-xml as following:

Running two countdown timers sequentially in React. The second one is skipped

I have created a functional component called Timer. I want to run a Timer for 3 seconds followed by a Timer for 6 seconds. However, the second timer stops as soon as it starts.

I think the problem is that the second Timer is using the state value from the first Timer. I'm not sure why it does that. I assume that the second Timer is a new instance so it shouldn't have any link with the first Timer.
