Check for blanks at specified positions in a string
            Asked 2022-Mar-28 at 05:42

I have the following problem, which I have been able to solve in a very long way and I would like to know if there is any other way to solve it. I have the following string structure:

            text = 01 ARA 22 - 02 GAG 23

But due to processing sometimes the spaces are not added properly and it may look like this:

You can use a regex to capture each of the components in the text, and then replace any missing spaces with a space:

            Retrofit RecyclerViewAdapter List not assigned
            Asked 2022-Mar-17 at 22:37

            I am stuck in something

List is null as you see but I want to assign it to the response from API before the pass it to the Adapter. But the List passed as null and throw null exception. I call the API method in onCreate() method before the Adapter initialization but it does not work somehow.

I could not understand what I miss here. How can the List is not assigned. I tried to initialize new ArrayList and it did not throw any error but this time the RecyclerView is empty.

            Any help?

I cannot understand why setState does not work. Because it is inside of Stateful Widget. There wouldn't be a problem. Here is my code part you can examine it.

Plotting continuous distribution in horizontal bar plot
            Asked 2022-Mar-14 at 18:59

This was my earlier question where it was solved using multiple distribution.

I want to plot the continuous variable like age or tumor mutation burden as shown in first figure with a range like a window such 20-30 age group or some mutational burden range

The frequencies are calculated for all the variables of the metadata, but when plotting the age is not mapped to the final plot as show in the second plot.

Does the age need to be converted into other class before plotting?

Rename Diagnosis-Age and use cut to convert to a factor. Add labels as required for appearance of age groups in legend.

Note I have swapped name and perc in the call to aes to avoid the call to coord_flip.

Extract column values from one table and insert with modifications into another
            Asked 2022-Mar-09 at 13:43

I have created a PL/pgSQL function that accepts two column names, a "relation", and two table names. It finds distinct rows in one table and inserts them in to a temporary table, deletes any row with a null value, and sets all values of one column to relation. I have the first part of the process using this function.
