VSCode - Custom react snippets not working in javascriptreact.json file and also javascript.json file

Answering my own question as finally reached to the solution from VS Codes very helpful and great team (https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/88936)

And this is how got closer to the source of the problem - got this strange behaviour, in a React Component.js file when I type the snippet ('clmi' in this case) - before the React Component File's return() statement, I get the expected behaviour. But if I type the snippet ('clmi') inside the return() statement, I dont get anything. i.e. the snippet does not give me the code completion option inside the return () statment.

The source was that VSCode was not recognizing this file to be a "javascriptreact" language type.

            Solution was as below

In a React Component's .js file, try the tokens inspector via "F1 > Inspect TM Scopes" and position the cursor at those insert position. That will tell you the detected, embedded language. Depending on your grammar it might be a different language

And bleow is what I am getting.

So as you can see, this not JavaScript nor JavaScript React but the jsx-attr language. So now I had to target that type with vscode snippet

So now, I put the whole snippet in the jsx-attr type target file ~/.config/Code/User/snippets/jsx-attr.json

And now the custom snippets worked as expected.

Object key value destructuring in array arguments
            Asked 2019-May-14 at 12:54

I am trying to follow a d3 tutorial to implement a Github-style Calendar View. What I am a bit confused about is some of the syntax used. On the line where {close: previous} is specified as the first argument of the callback, I don't understand the object destructuring that is happening. Could someone please explain what close and previous refer to in the innermost context?

it is just a way of renaming a property. in your scenario close is being renamed as previous.

TFS and VS2015: how to diff large amount of changed files?
            Asked 2017-Jul-17 at 10:54

I'm currently refactoring a large set of files. I currently have 450 files in my pending changes list. The refactoring has been done mostly in automated fashion using ReSharper.

I want to preview these changes before I check them in. I am currently selecting each file and clicking "Compare with Latest Version" on each of them. This is slow and takes a lot of effort.

Is there any way to create a github-style diff (with VS2015/TFS) that lists all the files and all the diffs in a single listing? Such as for example this:

            https://github.com/angular/angular.js/commit/828a2757b2e04a3bec12012c127812559fab78e3

If not, are there any other ways that could be used for previewing the diffs faster?

After further googling I found Diff All Files for VS2015 add-on which does exactly what I wanted. It allows to combine all file changes into a single united diff.
