Assuming your item column actually contains lists of strings (and aren't just strings that look like lists, e.g. '[1, 2, 3]'), cast f_name to set and perform set intersection:

Count distinct values in Excel with multiple criteria (strings)
            Asked 2022-Mar-13 at 23:51

I have an excel sheet with a large table with 3 main columns (Forward, Reverse and Species). I need to count distinct species for each pair from Forward and Reverse columns but I can't seem to make it work. I've tried going around it but the closest thing I found was this: "=SUM(IF(("Jennifer"=$D$6:$D$27)*($B$6:$B$27<=DATE(2011, 1, 31)), 1/COUNTIFS($D$6:$D$27, "Jennifer", $E$6:$E$27, $E$6:$E$27, $B$6:$B$27, "<="&DATE(2011, 1, 31))), 0))", which comes from this website https://www.get-digital-help.com/count-unique-distinct-values-that-meet-multiple-criteria-in-excel/ . Still, it doesn't work when I apply it to my sheet. I'm a complete newbe with excel so I'm looking for some help please. I'll drop a print of the sheet as well. Thanks in advance.

(dataframe.to_sql with reference_or_insert): How to automatically insert a missing record in a referenced table when a foreign key is not found?
            Asked 2022-Mar-10 at 23:43
            Description

I am trying to migrate data from a Pandas DataFrame to a MySQL database table but that data has some inconsistencies that I want to work around though I have not yet figured out a way to. Any help in figuring this out will be very much appreciated.

Example of the data I have:

            user_type (table)

code detail a Secretary b Accountant

user_df (DataFrame with the data I want to migrate to the user table)

            id name user_type_code (FK: user_type) 1 Jane Doe a 2 John Doe a 3 James Doe b 4 Jeff Doe c 5 Jennifer Doe d

As you can notice from the above data, the user_type_code with values c & d cannot be found in the user_type table.

What I want to achieve is to automatically insert those user_type missing data with dummy information to accommodate for the need of being corrected in the future and keep all the user records.

user_type table (how I want it to be at the end)

            code detail a Secretary b Accountant c Unknown c d Unknown d

What you really need is a list of the missing codes in the user_type table. You can get that like this:

grepl for first column into last column: is this the most efficient
            Asked 2022-Feb-21 at 16:50

I have a list of names from different sources in one data set: one set is organized by FirstName LastName; the other has FullName. I want to see if the first name or the last name is within the full name column, and create a flag. Two questions:

First, I used this solution, but the resulting data doesn't have the right amount of rows, and I'm not sure how to get it to make a flag. I tried to turn it into an ifelse statement, but got another error. How do I fix this so if FirstName is in FullName, I flag True (or 1), otherwise I flag False (or 0)?

Second, I have a few million names, is this an efficient way to do things?

Instead we could use str_detect which is vectorized for both pattern and string whereas in the Map/mapply code, it is looping over each row and thus could be less efficient

I recently started learning functional programming in Javascript, and one thing that's valued is Immutability. One way to preserve immutability is to when we want to modify some object that we first create a copy and then modify that copy and return it, for example:

You're right that a shallow copy doesn't help, but you don't need a full deep copy, you only have to make copies of the things you want to change. In your case, that's person, parents, and dad, but not mom:

You can track the original position of the age column using data in the settings object - specifically the _ColReorder_iOrigCol value which is stored in the settings.aoColumns array of objects for each column. You can compare this value to the current column index to determine the index you need to use in the filter:
