kandi X-RAY | interact Summary

interact is a Go library typically used in Messaging, Chat applications. interact has no bugs, it has no vulnerabilities, it has a Strong Copyleft License and it has low support. You can download it from GitHub.

An easy and fast Go library, without external imports, to handle questions and answers by command line. Run a simple question and manage the response. The response field is used to get the answer as a specific type. Define a list of questions to be run in sequence. The Action func can be used for validate the answer and can return a custom error. Question struct is only for single question whereas Interact struct supports multiple questions. Define a multiple choice question. The sub questions list is managed by the "Resolve" func. Each sub question can access to the parent answer by the "Parent" method. Interact support a custom prefix for each question. You can define a global prefix for all questions but you can overwrite it in each question with ease. As the first param you can pass a custom io.writer instance. You can define a default value for each question and get it in the action func as an answer. You can define a default error for every question or you can set a default error message. For every question and for each list of questions you can define custom commands to be run before or after the relative instance. With the skip func you can stop the execution of the current question or you can skip the next. You can reload a question how many times as you want. End a group of questions or sub-questions with a specific character or string. Interact supports the color scheme defined by the package "fatih/color".

How strict is the mvc pattern with model and view interactions?
            Asked 2021-Jun-16 at 01:01
I am confused about how model and view can interact

I was making a simple to do app with mvc pattern and I saw an article which said you shouldn't pass the model values directly to the view, which made the project more complex than I thought (I am relatively new to programming and this is the first time I am trying out a design pattern).

But then later on I talked to someone who said that that is not true and you can send the model data directly to view, he didn't even use classes or some kind of grouping to separate the function he just put them in separate files.

I was wondering if there is a guideline that I couldn't find or we can do whatever we want as long as they are kind of separated. I would love an article or a guide to read up on as well.

Since, I am not 100% sure the context in which you are trying to apply the MVC pattern, a good generic explanation of MVC can be found in GoF's 1995 book, Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object Oriented Software.

In the book, they state the following.

The Model is the application object, the View is its screen presentation, and the Controller defines the way the user interface reacts to user input.

A more robust explanation can be found from Martin Fowler where he also makes the case for a variation of Model View Controller that uses a Presentation Model.

If you are referring to Spring MVC then there is some magic that blurs the lines a bit. But in general, you have a controller that represents some screen or an encapsulated piece of functionality that the user (web requests) interact with. The controller serves up responses that are derived from the domain, usually via a Spring Service (i.e. @Service). The domain (Model) doesn't know anything about the View and the View may or may not know anything about the domain.

Given that, the View should be derived from the Model. But that's not always the case since sometimes how we present things to a screen is not the best logical way to model things in our domain - not to mention, the domain should be presentation agnostic. This leads into Fowler's argument for a Presentation Model, which is a model that belongs to the Presentation.

I call this a Presentation Model because it's a model that is really designed for and thus part of the presentation layer.

Microsoft took that idea and ran with it in a variant of MVC called MVVM (Model View ViewModel).

You can read more about that in Microsoft's documentation on ASP.Net Core.

So, back to your original question of "Should you pass the model directly to the view?" If you are using MVC then the controller is what provides the interaction. But if you're really asking, "Can you bind your view directly to the model?" If your model has all the stuff you need organized how your view needs it, then sure. And if it's simple enough, maybe that's the way to go. Otherwise, you could go with something like a Presentation Model or MVVM.

Div with absolute width is smaller than specified
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 20:37

I am trying to have a number of columns with exact widths, and their heights split evenly between some number of elements. For some reason, despite my indicating an exact 200px width on each column, they are instead getting a computed width of 162px somehow. Chrome dev tools is showing some weird arrow thing indicating that it it was shrunk from it's intended size for some reason. I've even tried removing all of the content from the div's as possible so as to rule out some weird interaction with the size of children.

The html for the relevant area is this:

Setting display: flex turns the sizing of child elements over to the flex container. If you don't want the individual elements to resize, set flex-grow: 0, flex-shrink: 0, and flex-basis: 200px. You can do all three using the flex shorthand:

IntelliJ worksheets do not like such definitions as they are "evaluated" one by one. You cannot define 2 depending on one the other at the top-level, they need to be encapsulated.

            Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 16:34

It varies between implementations, but generally, this is managed by the cache coherency protocol of the multiprocessor. In simplest terms, what happens is that when CPU1 writes to a memory location, that location will be invalidated in every other cache in the system. So that write will invalidate the line in CPU2's instruction cache as well as any (partially) decoded instructions in CPU2's uop cache (if it has such a thing). So when CPU2 goes to fetch/execute the next instruction, all those caches will miss and it will stall while things are refetched. Depending on the cache coherency protocol, that may involve waiting for the write to get to memory, or may fetch the modified data directly from CPU1's dcache, or things might go via some shared cache.

I do the same thing twice and able to validate notifications. Once the device is locked. You will see a black screen like it is turned off, and the second time when you will send the same code, it will turn on the device, and you can get notifications element for tests

            // Lock the screen
            XCUIDevice.shared.perform(NSSelectorFromString("pressLockButton"))
            sleep(1)

Is it possible to restrict the Application API permissions of an Azure AD web application to one account?

I'm developing an AWS Lambda function which will need to access an Outlook 365 inbox at a regular interval. I'm using Graph API for accessing the inbox.

I created a new Azure AD web application registration using the Azure Active Directory admin center.(https://aad.portal.azure.com/) When assigning API Permissions to my app, I have an option to choose between Delegated permissions and Application permissions. I can't use delegated permissions since my code will run without any user interaction.

When choosing application permissions, I can't find a way to restrict the permission to one user account. For example, if I try to give the app Mail.Read application permission, it'll get access to all mailboxes in the enterprise. Or maybe I'm interpreting the permission description incorrectly.

Some apps call Microsoft Graph using their own identity and not on behalf of a user. For example, the Mail.Read application permission allows apps to read mail in all mailboxes without a signed-in user.

Configuring ApplicationAccessPolicy is used to limit the app access to a specific set of mailboxes.
