QUESTION
I have scripts In my React app that are inserted dynamically later on. The scripts don't load.
In my database there is a field called content
, which contains data that includes html and javascript. There are many records and each record can include multiple scripts in the content
field. So it's not really an option to statically specify each of the script-urls in my React app. The field for a record could for example look like:

QUESTION
I upgraded to React 18 and things compiled fine. Today it seems every single component that uses children is throwing an error. Property 'children' does not exist on type 'IPageProps'.
Before children props were automatically included in the FC
interface. Now it seems I have to manually add children: ReactNode
. What is the correct typescript type for react children?
Is this part of the React 18 update, or is something screwed up in my env?
package.json
...ANSWER
Answered 2022-Apr-07 at 20:34It looks like the children
attribute on the typescript typings were removed.
I had to manually add children to my props; There is probably a better solution to fix this, but in the interim, this works.
QUESTION
I have a navbar that is rendered in every route while the route changes on click.
./components/navbar.jsx
...ANSWER
Answered 2022-Feb-09 at 23:28You are rendering the navbar outside the routing context. The Router
isn't aware of what routes the links are attempting to link to that it is managing. The reason routing works when directly navigating to "/experiences"
is because the Router
is aware of the URL when the app mounts.
QUESTION
I recently did a global install of create-react-app and am having an issue where sometimes, when I'm working on a project, instead of editing directly what I have rendered in , it creates this container around the entire app.
Upon further inspection it looks like it is an which is rendered in the browswer as this:
...ANSWER
Answered 2022-Jan-21 at 21:43So after MUCH research and testing, I finally figured this out and I hope it can save anyone in the same situation I was in 😊
I have found two solutions that can solve this, one with a .env
file that sometimes works, and the other solution is with css
that I want to say always will solve this issue.
In the root folder level (the same level as the .gitignore, package.json, README.md, yarn.lock, /src), create a .env
file and include the following in it:

Answered 2021-Aug-16 at 13:32The ItemProperties
component has multiple root nodes because it renders a list in the root with v-for
.
Based on the class name (infobox-item-properties
), I think you want the class to be applied to a container element, so a simple solution is to just add that element (e.g., a div
) in your component at the root:

Answered 2021-Aug-04 at 09:18I'm not sure what you're using to code, but in order to set it in Android Studio, open the manifest of your project and under the "activity" section, put android:exported="true"(or false if that is what you prefer). I have attached an example.

Try adding "type": "module"

You can place it anywhere at the top level. E.g.:

When testing components with s, for example in my answer to Recommended approach for route-based tests within routes of react-router, I often use the following pattern to get access to the current

plugin doesn't know about the correct location of the TypeScript config and hence cannot resolve those paths. What you need to do, is to specify the correct path to your TypeScript config via the project
parameter in the resolver options:
QUESTION
Say we have component:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Dec-12 at 10:39Here are some implications of calling component as function vs rendering it as element.
- Potential violation of rules of hooks
When you call a component as a function (see TestB()
below) and it contains usage of hooks inside it, in that case react thinks the hooks within that function belongs to the parent component. Now if you conditionally render that component (TestB()
) you will violate one of the rules of hooks. Check the example below, click the re-render button to see the error:
Error: Rendered fewer hooks than expected. This may be caused by an accidental early return statement.
