I get the UnboundLocalError, things were working perfectly but when I made some changes to my models.py to fix some other bug which got resolved, this came about.

Assigning a value to a variable inside a function makes that variable local. Since the error is with student, the trick is to see if you are assigning a value to something named "student". Sure enough
