Storing the File Path as a variable
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 22:24

I'm trying to create a Windows form via Powershell and I need to capture the file path and store it in a variable. After the user clicks the 'Select' button and chooses the file, I would like to store the file path in a variable. Can someone please help me with this? The part of the code that shows the file path is the $selectButton.Add_Click() method.

Following your .ShowDialog() call, you can simply query the value of your $pathTextBox text-box object.

What is the most efficient way to get properties from an array object?
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 19:27

I want to collect the names (Jenny, Tiffany, etc.) that are stored in every object. and these objects live in an array. I've used Array.prototype.every() and Array.prototype.forEach(), but I don't think they are the right methods.

I also want to note that majority of these codes are from Codaffection. I am practicing on developing in React.

If you would like to experiment with the code, click here.

In every object, there is an id, fullname, email and etc.

This is the code that adds, edits, generates unique ids for each employee, and gets all storage data.

All controls derive from Control. Therefore, instead of using the type Object use Control. Control has most of the members of these controls like a Click event.

VBA - NULL values in Listview
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 17:10

I've created a simple VBA interface to connect Excel to a MySQL DB. The VBA part acts as a preview of data for the user to choose what item he wants to import to the Excel sheet.

Until now I've work with a very complete set of data, but I got to a Table which (because of the nature of the items) some fields are NULL.

Now every time I try to check the values in the VBA I get the Run-time error 13 Type mismatch in the listview component. At first I though it was a field with DECIMAL typing, but after changing it to a DOUBLE (for testing) the problem persisted, and it was until I notice that if only checks columns with no NULL value, the problem disappears. Off course I can't omit this values.

I tried some .Tostring functions but with no success. And I failed to implement a IF to check for NULL in the obj.

If you don't want to add a IsNull-function in you SQL (as Nathan_Sav suggested as a comment): There is a IsNull-function in VBA. With that, you can create a simple function that returns for example an empty string (or a 0 or whatever you prefer):

I have checked an example again and it works. The one reason that it doesn't work it's startSeconds property. Somehow, when we add this property it stops to autoplay the video. But without it, it works well.

AsyncPostBackTrigger only sets controls that are outside of the panel.

Controls on the page outside of an update panel can refresh an UpdatePanel control by defining them as triggers. Triggers are defined by using the AsyncPostBackTrigger element.

Controls that postback will always postback. I think the ChildrenAsTriggers="false" won't stop the postbacks - it will just stop the content from updating.

The product-related duration label and the input are perfect and which is what I wanted but it happened luckily because the text is large. How can I do the same with others? I tried some other methods like adding empty spaces or ClassName="form-control" and a bunch of others but nothing working properly, it makes the form too big.

If the .form-control style does not work for you, then you could simply add .w-100 to the labels. This should have the same effect as your wider label causing the input to wrap.
