QUESTION
I'm trying to create a Windows form via Powershell and I need to capture the file path and store it in a variable. After the user clicks the 'Select' button and chooses the file, I would like to store the file path in a variable. Can someone please help me with this? The part of the code that shows the file path is the $selectButton.Add_Click() method.
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 21:22Following your .ShowDialog()
call, you can simply query the value of your $pathTextBox
text-box object.
QUESTION
I want to collect the names (Jenny, Tiffany, etc.) that are stored in every object. and these objects live in an array. I've used Array.prototype.every()
and Array.prototype.forEach()
, but I don't think they are the right methods.
I also want to note that majority of these codes are from Codaffection. I am practicing on developing in React.
If you would like to experiment with the code, click here.
In every object, there is an id, fullname, email and etc.
This is the code that adds, edits, generates unique ids for each employee, and gets all storage data.

use Control

event.
QUESTION
I've created a simple VBA interface to connect Excel to a MySQL DB. The VBA part acts as a preview of data for the user to choose what item he wants to import to the Excel sheet.
Until now I've work with a very complete set of data, but I got to a Table which (because of the nature of the items) some fields are NULL.
Now every time I try to check the values in the VBA I get the Run-time error 13 Type mismatch in the listview component. At first I though it was a field with DECIMAL typing, but after changing it to a DOUBLE (for testing) the problem persisted, and it was until I notice that if only checks columns with no NULL value, the problem disappears. Off course I can't omit this values.
I tried some .Tostring functions but with no success. And I failed to implement a IF to check for NULL in the obj.
This is my code:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Apr-13 at 10:28If you don't want to add a IsNull
-function in you SQL (as Nathan_Sav suggested as a comment): There is a IsNull
-function in VBA. With that, you can create a simple function that returns for example an empty string (or a 0 or whatever you prefer):

QUESTION
I have an update panel with UpdateMode set to conditional, and childrenastriggers set to false, but all the controls in the panel are performing async postbacks...
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 04:47AsyncPostBackTrigger only sets controls that are outside of the panel.
Controls on the page outside of an update panel can refresh an UpdatePanel control by defining them as triggers. Triggers are defined by using the AsyncPostBackTrigger element.
Controls that postback will always postback. I think the ChildrenAsTriggers="false"
won't stop the postbacks - it will just stop the content from updating.
QUESTION
What is the right way to put the input box just below the label, not in line with it? I am trying to do this for more than 4 hours but could not able to do it.
The product-related duration label and the input are perfect and which is what I wanted but it happened luckily because the text is large. How can I do the same with others? I tried some other methods like adding empty spaces or ClassName="form-control"
and a bunch of others but nothing working properly, it makes the form too big.
The code that I am using -
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 04:07If the .form-control
style does not work for you, then you could simply add .w-100
to the labels. This should have the same effect as your wider label causing the input to wrap.
