QUESTION
Nuxt hot reloading somehow works for old components, but any new components that I have created today, doesn't seem to be watched by the app, and doesn't reload. I have to restart the app each time to see the changes applied to these new files.
The machine that I am using is MacOs latest Mojave system. I realized people might ask for the package.json file so here is the file
...ANSWER
Answered 2019-Jun-16 at 17:49Oh I got it, it seems like there was a misspelling in importing of the component, and thus wasn't connected to the main nuxt network, meaning the component doesn't adhere to the hot reloading watched file.
QUESTION
Hi everyone I am I having some difficulty when working with Nuxt and Vuex.
I am trying to run through the example Vuex / Nuxt Classic Mode. https://nuxtjs.org/guide/vuex-store/
After clicking my increment button I dont see the number go up. My page just stays at 0, I can see within the console that the state knows the number is no longer 0 but not on the screen, as if it doesnt know to be reactive.
My assumption is that I have miss configured something somewhere and my 0 is not the actual state, but I created some copy of it somehow.
Here is my button within my template.
...ANSWER
Answered 2018-Dec-09 at 20:50At the end of the day, I was not able to identify exactly what in my application was the error.
I assume that my during my initialization, configuration or development I touched something that should not have been touched, installed something that should not have be installed, messed with a package I should not have or was to bold in my nuxt.config.js changes.
I created a new nuxt app following the same install instructions. https://nuxtjs.org/guide/installation/
Moved the above _id.vue component exactly as it is and once I got dependencies updated it worked perfectly as seen in the image below.
Thank you very much @Boussadjra Brahim, @xaviert, @Andrew1325 for you assistance.
QUESTION
I can't seem to access the process.env.baseUrl
variable from the feathers client plugin. The variable returns an empty string. I can use the variable on server side. I can resolve it by hardcoding the url in env.baseUrl
in nuxt.config.js, but I'd rather not. The weird thing is that it runs without any issues on a windows 10 machine in both prod and dev mode. However on Ubuntu vm in the Google Cloud it doesn't work. It also doesn't work when running from a docker container. Please advice. Am I missing something obvious?

...ANSWER
Answered 2018-Apr-16 at 12:53This has nothing to do with nuxt.js. It has to do with that regardless of cross-env the environment variables from package.json do not get set. The only option is to export the environment variables from the shell in Ubuntu itself. The app works as designed.
