kandi X-RAY | react-sticky Summary
The goal of react-sticky is make it easier for developers to build UIs that have sticky elements. Some examples include a sticky navbar, or a two-column layout where the left side sticks while the right side scrolls. react-sticky works by calculating the position of a component relative to a component. If it would be outside the viewport, the styles required to affix it to the top of the screen are passed as an argument to a render callback, a function passed as a child.

QUESTION
My team recently have been running into an odd error when trying to npm start
a Create React App we are developing. The error is Bad state: Can't access __parent outside of a module
which is causing the Build to fail. We have used this setup for about a year without having this issue. The node-sass version we are using is "node-sass": "npm:sass@^1.32.5"
It is a dart Sass implementation. We have tried reinstall node modules and clearing npm cache to no avail. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. The full error message is below.
ANSWER
Answered 2021-May-12 at 17:18Ok, so we recently figured out the issue. A stylesheet was referenced in the app from a node module. The node module was updated and the path to the stylesheet did not exist anymore. For some reason the linter only had an issue with it when a production build was being created. The error message was very vague. We use Create React App and its configurations for building a production app.
QUESTION
I just updated my Gatsby to v3. Right before that I had just updated gatsby-source-wordpress to v5 and everything was working with Gatsby v2.32.9
Now when doing gatsby develop

ANSWER
Answered 2021-Mar-24 at 15:00Didn't find a permanent solution, but found a fix...
The problem stemmed from a conflict between my gatsby-source-wordpress and the way my Polylang WP plugin gets exposed to the GraphQL API. Basically, the "Duplicate ID" is related to the first post the API could find that has a translation, and for some reason it breaks. As of this writing this seems to be specific to gatsby-source-wordpress version ^5.0.0 and ^5.1.0. My fix : revert to gatsby-source-wordpress version ^4.1.0-next.1, which does not suffer from the same issue.
This fix works for me with Gatsby v3.1.1.

QUESTION
I am using material-ui/core v.4.10.2 on the normal react-scripts start dev-server everything works perfectly.
But when built and served through Nginx or npm-module serve the rendering is not working correctly...
(I saw similar issues on the material-ui Github, but they were all (falsely) closed
Here is my package.json in case something's wrong with my dependencies (what I certainly don't think is the case) ...ANSWER
Answered 2020-Jul-03 at 15:18I had the exact same issue. Turned out that Webpack would mess around with Material UI's rules of JSS precedence. You need to manually override the injection order using the index option.
In your makeStyles()
or withStyles()
, add {index: 1}

QUESTION
So I have tables that I am trying to classify by date, with headers like (today, yesterday, last week, ...) and I am trying to make them sticky depending on the current table in the viewport. I tried using the react-sticky
library specifically the stacked example
as it seems to be the effect I am looking for but I am unable to recreate it.
Please, am I missing some thing on the library usage.
Also a solution without the library is very welcome
What I have been trying

QUESTION
Goal
I'm wanting to create a table with a scrolling body and a sticky header. The table header cell widths need to match their corresponding body column widths.
It's in React, and the Table component contain two separate components (one for the header, and another for the rows in the body). The content of the components will be coming from an outside source, so I can't make any assumptions on the widths of anything. The body of the table will have a lot of rows, so the table header is going to need to be sticky and stay at the top.
Problem
While the widths of the columns in the table body are automatically set, the widths are not automatically set in the table head. The table header widths need to be automatically set based on the contents of the table.
You can see the issue and my test code here: https://codesandbox.io/s/y0jx5rp081
Things to note
- I'm open to using plugins or libraries if there's a good enough reason, but would rather not if possible
- I've already tried react-sticky, which doesn't support table format
- I've also tried react-sticky-table, which doesn't allow me to split the table into row components, which I need to do in order to help with more efficient rendering
- Once again, I need the widths to all be set automatically. The only solutions I have seen so far involve setting the width in the header manually
ANSWER
Answered 2018-Jul-30 at 17:22You can get the widths of your table cells by querying for them after rendering. To access a React component after rendering, we'll need to use a ref.

that is a ref to the topmost element of the container, so you can scroll that into view with the help of a ref of your own:
