doPost(e) does not trigger onChange(e) - Trigger On Change event in Google Spreadsheet
            Asked 2018-Jun-24 at 23:17

I have a very simple doPost(e) script project which is working as a webhook endpoint. It simply records the received JSON payload to A2 cell of a target spreadsheet. In the target spreadsheet, I have an onChange(e) trigger which is passing this payload to an external API. Though there is no error during runtime, my onChange(e) script is not triggered at all. Provided I cut/paste the cell content on the sheet, onChange(e) is then triggered correctly.

In Google Developers page here, some restrictions are mentioned but it's also said to be that those restrictions does not apply to doGet(e) and doPost(e).

            What am I missing?

            Here is my doPost code:

The Sheets API can be used to trigger the "On Change" event. Don't use setValues(array). Remove that code and add a function to write the value to the spreadsheet.

You may need to set the scopes in the appsscript.json file (manifest file).

Properly formatting Ember custom serializer response for sideloaded JSON API data
            Asked 2017-Dec-14 at 16:29

I want to try serving sideloaded data to my Ember app. I have a city model which hasMany fireStations. I changed my hasMany relationship to have an { async: false } option to coincide with sideloading, since the data will no longer be loaded asynchronously.

I use a custom serializer, and I am logging the response from normalize(). It looks like this for my data.

            ...

            ANSWER

            Answered 2017-Dec-14 at 16:29

I was able to create an Ember Twiddle to find, recreate, and resolve my issue.

Short answer is that my custom serializer was dropping included during normalization. I was confusing the responsibilities between normalize() and normalizeResponse() and returning included from the wrong method.

I was trying to set the included property on the hash in normalize() (that's what you see in my question above). This approach was entirely wrong.

included should be present in the response from normalizeResponse(), if needed. So I (superfluously) had included in response(), but didn't have it where it was actually needed in normalizeResponse().

You should probably not be storing your area code data as CSV, because it is unnormalized and therefore will be hard to work with. That being said, MySQL has a function called FIND_IN_SET() which can check if a given value appears in a CSV string. Something like this should work:
