QUESTION
i am trying to deploy it now, the app works great on localhost, no problems at all but when i deploy it to netlify from github it crashes by giving me these errors in developers console.
...ANSWER
Answered 2019-Jun-08 at 22:09Error seems to be in 'unexpected token <'
The error Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token < is most commonly caused by your site’s code referring to an asset that is no longer available. Most commonly, this is due to a filename change in assets generated during your build. The same situation happens if you use versioned or chunked javascript where the filename changes with every deploy.
In addition, See if you can get any clues from here: https://www.netlify.com/docs/build-gotchas/
Also, try upgrading node version to the latest one.
QUESTION
I have a component that basically loads a video in an overlay using JW Player (simplified example below).
...ANSWER
Answered 2017-Sep-10 at 09:29If you want to get rid of the parent-children relationships when it comes to actions, use an event manager like Redux (react-redux). It is pretty standard an becomes necessary as your app grows anyway.
The principle is that wherever you place your link, it will fire an "action" on click, which is sent to a global dispatcher that other components listen to for changes.
