QUESTION
How can we pass additional data to Client application from Identity Server 4 in response after successful authentication?
We are using Identity Server 4 as an Auth server for our application to have user authentication and SSO feature. User information is stored and is getting authenticated by an external service. IDS calls the external service for user authentication. On successful authentication, the service returns the response back to IDS with 2 parameters:
- Authorization code
- Additional information (a collection of attributes) for the user.
IDS further generates Id token and returns response back to MVC client with standard user claims. I want to pass the additional user information(attributes) to client application to display it on page. We tried adding the attributes as claims collection through context.IssuedClaims option but still I am not getting those attributes added and accessible to User.Claims collection in MVC client app.
Can anyone suggest an alternative way by which we can pass those custom attributes to client app. either through claims or any other mode (httpcontext.Items collection etc)
...ANSWER

QUESTION
I have a table in SQL Server 2008 database hosted on a shared web hosting. I cannot change the collation of the database because I don't have permissions.
When I created the table, I set the collation for the columns that I want but it doesn't do anything and I still see ????
when I query the table. I tried nvarchar
as well and it didn't work.
The table:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Mar-25 at 20:05The problem is your INSERT
/UPDATE
statements. Unless you define those values as an nvarchar
then the characters outside the databases collation will be lost. This means you need to declare your parameters as an nvarchar
. As a result I would suggest, instead, not changing the collation of the columns and changing them as an nvarchar
and using an nvarchar
s throughout your code.
QUESTION
i want to preload M2M
relation with gorm and it is not populating the slice with Preload

ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 14:41There are a couple of things to try out and fix:
You probably don't need the many2many
attribute to load the DonationDetail
slice, since they can be loaded only with DonationID
. If you have a foreign key, you can add it like this:
QUESTION
This question is related to Azure MSIX Build and Package task only has Release and Debug configurations
We have a WinForms project that has an MSIX installer. Manually, we can successfully create
- An MSIXBUNDLE and deploy it to Kudu
- An MSIX and deploy it to an Azure VM through a VHDX. We have manually convert the MSIX to a VHDX first
We are now trying to automate the build and release process to create the VHDX. However, we are getting a blank screen when the VHDX is mounted using a process that we have already validated. The only thing different is the build method (i.e., MSBuild versus VS Publish).
How do we create a working VHDX in Azure CI Build Pipeline?
Below is the YAML.
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 14:26Actually, there is nothing wrong with the YAML. The problem was a delay in the virtual machine loading the VHDX. In other words, wait about 5 minutes once the VHDX is mounted before trying to run the application. I am leaving this here in case anyone else runs into this issue
.
QUESTION
I'm trying to make a relation between my Book entity and a list of languages that I retrieve through a service. In my database, each book has a: ID, TITLE, CATEGORY_ID (FK), LANG_ID
Book.java:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 12:54First of all, did you consider to store language in your database? I mean language are mostly the same, doesn't change too often, you can also store in a properties file and read them at runtime to use them later.
Anyway, I think you should:
- first get from external system languages
- store in variable / in memory cache ( like a Map where you can store id and name )
- read your data from database
- for each row you do
- read book language id, read the cache, get out data you need
- for each row you do
If you can't change model, just use a dto with your entity and the language and you're fine

QUESTION
I have users in a Cognito user pool, some of whom are in an Administrators
group. These administrators need to be allowed to read/write to a specific S3 bucket, and other users must not.
To achieve this, I assigned a role to the Administrators
group which looked like this:
ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 12:03The solution lies in the federated identity pool's settings.
By default the identity pool will provide the IAM role that it's configured with. In other words, one of either the "unauthenticated role" or the "authenticated role" that it's set up with.
But it can be told instead to provide a role specified by the authentication provider. That's what will solve the problem here.
- In the AWS console, in Cognito, open the relevant identity pool.
- Click "Edit identity pool" (top right)
- Expand "Authentication Providers"
- Under Authenticated Role Selection, choose "Choose role from token".
That will allow Cognito to specify its own roles, and you will find that the users get the privileges of their group.
QUESTION
I have setup SendGrid for my user registration email confirmation in my .Net 5.0 app as per Microsofts instructions here: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=532713
Everything works fine until the user clicks the confirmation link in their register confirmation email.
This issue is being caused by a stray amp in my confirmation link. I am trying to understand where it is coming from and how to remove it.
When the new user clicks 'Submit' on the Register.cshtml
page they are successfully directed to the RegisterConfirmation.cshtml
page and the email is received in their inbox.
Actual behavior:
The user clicks the link in the email and hits the ConfirmEmail
page.
The user is redirected to /Index
page.
The EmailConfirmed
bool in the DB is not updated.
If I comment out the redirect to /Index in my controller, then I get a null value error shown below.
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jun-14 at 06:18it looks like the variable that has value is amp;code; not code. Do you have 2 ampersands somewhere by any chance? Yes you do -
QUESTION
I have a pair of iterator, and I would like to use ranges::views::filter(some_predicate)
on it (with the pipe operator). AFAIU I should first convert my pair of iterator into a view. I tried to use ranges::subrange(first, last)
to do so, but I’m getting horrible error messages.
Note1: I’m using C++14 and range-v3 version 0.9.1 (the last version compatible with gcc-5.5). If the solution differs when using C++17/20 and/or when using C++20 std::ranges, I’m also interested to know what changed.
Note2: I find the documentation of range-v3 severely lacking, so I’m using cppreference.com. If you know a better documentation, I’m very interested.
EDIT:
In my real code, I’m wrapping a java-style legacy iterator (that has a next()
method instead of operator++
/operator*
. I’m wrapping them in a C++-compatible wrapper. Then I tried to convert that wrapper into a view, and finally filter it. I reproduce a minimal example on godbolt. This use iterator_range
as suggested, but it still doesn’t compile (see the second edit below).
ANSWER
Answered 2021-Apr-08 at 16:24In ranges-v3, there is iterator_range
which you can use to wrap the iterators into a range object.
In C++20, you can use std::span
to wrap those iterators into an range object
