            Blending images without color change?

            While studying OpenCV, I realized that whenever I blend two images the colors of scr2 have changed in some way(depends on the colors of scr1).

            I know this is not an informative and clear way to explain my issue, however; I don't know how to describe this issue since I have no expertise with colors so I would like to show you what I meant with images and code.

            I think I misunderstood your issue. If your issue is that the image where you do not have lines has changed, then that is because you used a white background for scr2. The white then mixes with your image in the output. Make it scr2=img.copy() in place of what you have now. Then try your code. So in Python/OpenCV as a demonstration, using the Lena image as background, here is your code:

            I am trying to reduce lines of code because I realized that I am repeating the same equations every time. I am programming a contour map and putting several sources of intensity into it. Until now I put 3 sources, but in the future I want to put more, and that will increase the lines a lot. So I want to see if it is possible to reduce the lines of "source positions" and "Intensity equations". As you can see the last equation is a logaritmic summation of z1, z2 and z3, is it possible to reduce that, any idea?

            I'm working on a Chrome extension that integrates with a website. My users can do actions on this website when they are logged in to it.

            I have a Socket.IO server that delivers commands to my Chrome extension. Once a command arrived, the extension invokes a local function from the host website. Then, the host website, which has an authenticated active session with its own API, will invoke some update/insert call.

            I recently realized a potential security issue, which is - if anyone spoofs my server address on my extension clients organization, he can easily abuse it to send his own parameters on behalf of my server (image 2).

            Is there any smart way to ensure my client communicates with the real server and not an imposter?

            Use HTTPS secured connection.

            Unity. Input.MousePosition is returning coordinates that are way too large for the screen

            The highest Y position that is shown in my camera is 5 and -5. For the X its 10. I'm making a tower defense game and I want the tower to follow my mouseposition after I buy it until I click on a place in the track to build/ place it. I got so confused because I couldn't see my tower at all but now I realized that my mouse coordinates are HUGE. It's up to the hundreds on each axis. My screen obviously can't fit that. I tried even dividing the mouseposition in a vector 2 by 45 and making an offset so it can fit well. Unfortunately I have to change the values depending on the screen size so that can't work. I don't know if it matters but here's my script? This script get's called after the tower gets instantiated from the store. The store button is in the canvas if that helps? Maybe the canvas is why everything is off? How do I fix it?

            Screen space is different from world space

            In Unity, Input.MousePosition is measured in terms of pixels on your screen. Let's say you have a 1080p monitor - 1920 x 1080 - which is pretty common these days, that means Input.MousePosition will be in the following range when your game is fullscreen:

            • x: 0 to 1919
            • y: 0 to 1079

            The actual world units - the units as seen in your scene - don't matter at all and can be basically anything.

            Another thing of note is that your gameworld is 3D and the physical screen is 2D. Assuming your camera is looking into open space in your world, a single pixel on the screen is represented by an infinite line in the 3D world. This line is called a ray, and you can turn a 2D screen position into a ray via Camera.ScreenPointToRay, and then find what 3D objects that line intersects with via a Physics.Raycast.

            So I managed to combine Google form, google calendar, as well as google sheets. When people submit the form (with a start date and end date), it will automatically appear in the google sheets as well as google calendar.

            I modified the script to find conflict (to prevent double-booking), however, I just realized that even when the same person is trying to edit starting and ending date (via edit response), it will still show CONFLICT.

            For example, someone books from date April 15th to April 17th, and he decided to change to April 16th to April 18th, because he previously booked 15-17, his new submission is having conflict with his own previous submission.

            How can I add a function that will detect the same email to edit and submit data? (within empty day slot. Thanks in advance!

            Instead of always retrieving the last row, you should retrieve the actual row of the latest submission

            Mind that if people update their Google Form response, the submission row in the spreadsheet will not change - only the content.

            • You can retrieve the latest submitted / modified form response row with the event object event.range (provided your function is bound to a Google Sheets form submit trigger)
            • You can compare the modified row to the last row in the sheet
            • If the form response row is equal to the last row - a new response has been submitted

            How can I limit and sort on document ID in firestore?

            I have a collection where the documents are uniquely identified by a date, and I want to get the n most recent documents. My first thought was to use the date as a document ID, and then my query would sort by ID in descending order. Something like .orderBy(FieldPath.documentId, descending: true).limit(n). This does not work, because it requires an index, which can't be created because __name__ only indexes are not supported.

            My next attempt was to use .limitToLast(n) with the default sort, which is documented here.

            By default, Cloud Firestore retrieves all documents that satisfy the query in ascending order by document ID

            According to that snippet from the docs, .limitToLast(n) should work. However, because I didn't specify a sort, it says I can't limit the results. To fix this, I tried .orderBy(FieldPath.documentId).limitToLast(n), which should be equivalent. This, for some reason, gives me an error saying I need an index. I can't create it for the same reason I couldn't create the previous one, but I don't think I should need to because they must already have an index like that in order to implement the default ordering.

            Should I just give up and copy the document ID into the document as a field, so I can sort that way? I know it should be easy from an algorithms perspective to do what I'm trying to do, but I haven't been able to figure out how to do it using the API. Am I missing something?

            From what I've found:

            FieldPath.documentId does not match on the documentId, but on the refPath (which it gets automatically if passed a document reference).

            As such, since the documents are to be sorted by timestamp, it would be more ideal to create a timestamp fieldvalue for createdAt rather than a human-readable string which is prone to string length sorting over the value of the string.

            From there, you can simply sort by date and limit to last. You can keep the document ID's as you intend.
