            I figured out why we need this

            required-api: param name="#target"

            OPTIONAL(not compulsory)

            It declares the name of the unit(in question it is main) requiring the listed apis. Only one instance of the param “#target” is allowed. When there is not instance of this param, it behave as if the target main was specified.

            Install laravel-paginator-sorter

            A simple way to use this library in laravel 4.2. You can use it in other versions as you wish.
            Create a file named "helpers.php" in "app" folder. (beside filters.php and routes.php)
            Create a folder named "helpers" in app folder. (beside your helpers.php file)
            Put "pagination_sort_helper.php" file in "helpers" folder.
            Include (require) "pagination_sort_helper.php" file in helpers.php. in helpers.php write: require_once __DIR__ . '/helpers/pagination_sort_helper.php';
            Load helpers.php file in "app/start/global.php". At the end of the file: require app_path() . '/filters.php'; require app_path() . '/helpers.php';
