kandi X-RAY | calc.py Summary

calc.py is a Python library. calc.py has no bugs, it has no vulnerabilities and it has low support. However calc.py build file is not available. You can download it from GitHub.

Simple arithmetic calculator in Python. This is one of my first projects in Python and is also offering me an opportunity to practice my Git commands and some object-oriented programming!. GUI.py creates the graphical interface with callbacks, implemented as a subclass of tkinter.Tk(). main.py and main.pyw instantiate this class to open the program. This calculator is basically modeled on the arithmetic functions of the standard Windows utility calc.exe. At present the only issue of which I'm aware is floating-point arithmetic: E.g., 0.1 + 0.2 = 0.3000...004, not 0.3. I may fix this and add further functionality at some point.

Visual Studio 2019 Preprocessor definition as a result of cmd/sript
            Asked 2022-Mar-15 at 22:11

How can i make a definition as a variable from an evaluated expression? I add in my c++ project ( Visual Studio 2019 ) in the Project->Configuration Properties-> C/C++ -> Command Line /D "__MYVAL__=$(python3 .\calc.py)" but i get errors "the expression cannot be evaluated". How can i do this in visual studio 2019 preprocessor on windows?

So this is not actually a Visual Studio thing - this is one level deeper. Welcome to the relatively unknown world of MSBuild.

MSBuild is the backend build engine for Visual Studio. It handles all the elements of the build process, and is responsible for managing and evaluating properties of the build, executing targets, finding and building dependencies, etc.

If you actually dig into the details, you'll find that Visual Studio projects are really just MSBuild scripts.

Have a look at the official documentation on properties for MSBuild. Based on what I could read, it looks like you can add C# code directly into the value of a property, and MSBuild will execute that code to perform custom actions.

If that's not enough for your purposes, you could also create a custom MSBuild task, which will allow you to run any code you like during the build process.

Once you have a property defined for what you want (we'll call it MyProperty), you can reference it on the command line via:

            /D __MYVAL__=$(MyProperty)

I am doing a ROS project that have 1 service, 2 topics, 3 nodes. "Fotoplesmytograf" is the first node that collect data from a pulse sensor. Sends the data via topic"/fpmg_raw" to a "lp_filter". Then "lp_filter" sends a filter output y[k] to a "do_filter_calc" and it returns y[k] = -a1y[k-1]-a2y[k-2]+b1u[k-1]+b2u[k-2] back to "lp_filter". "lp_filter" sends the data via topic "/fpmg_filtred" to evaluate_data. Using Rosbag to record the result.

            Answered 2021-Oct-02 at 18:17

So the main reason why your code probably didn't work was because of the repeated recursive calls. To make the approach simpler, I broke down the functions required into 2 verification checks. Please note that I've included a few sample data to check the program, you can ignore that accordingly.
The driver function get_tax_code runs as long as two checks are True, this means that it will only stop asking for the input once the tax code is verified by both letter check and dictionary match.

I see that you are using the --onefile flag ( or -F) to bundle your application.

In this case you need special method to access your data files. Because your files are extracted into a temporary directory (In Windows that is %temp%\_MEIPASS). You can see the docs for reference.

So, you can do like this:

I have a PyQt file that, on the click of a button, runs a function from another python file (let's call calc.py) that carries out a really advanced calculation and uses matplotlib to plot the result.

I would like to show this plot generated by calc.py in the PyQt window after the calculation is complete/the figure is generated. Although, I'm not sure the best way to carry this out given that the calculation and figure are made in another file.

            ANSWER

            Answered 2021-Aug-16 at 01:53

The solution is a hack(may fail in the future) that assumes that the backend used by matplotlib in calc.py uses PyQt5, for this it is necessary to import PyQt5 first and then calc.py.

The logic is to make matplotlib not block the eventloop using plt.ion, and then search among the toplevels (windows) that have a FigureCanvas as their centralWidget.

You can download it from GitHub.
You can use calc.py like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.
