kandi X-RAY | random_field Summary

random_field is a Python library. random_field has no bugs, it has no vulnerabilities and it has low support. However random_field build file is not available. You can download it from GitHub.

This is a Python 2.7 script designed to produce realistic-looking spatially correlated random field, such a s hydraulic conductivity, for use in 2-D or 3-D visualizations and/or numerical models. The model starts with a set of user specified seeds (locations with a known property), adds to the seed set sequentially by postulating new nearby points chosen from a Gaussian distribution, and then generates a numerical grid using scipy’s gridding routine once the seed population maximum is reached. The code is not mean to be geostatistically robust but rather an easy-to-understand demo that produces reasonable looking results. The script requires the numpy, scipy, and matplotlib libraries. June 1, 2019: Please note that the functionality of this particular script is now much better addressed with a newer (and shorter/simpler) python code which can be found here:

            Install random_field

You can download it from GitHub.
You can use random_field like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.
