Install autofile
You can install using 'pip install autofile' or download it from GitHub, PyPI.
You can use autofile like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.

Support
Currently macOS only. Tested on macOS 10.15.7 (Catalina) but should work fine on newer versions. With the exception of macOS specific metadata like Finder tags, this could be ported to linux fairly easily but I don't have a use case for this. Copy and move use native macOS calls to take advantage of advanced features such as copy-on-write that are not available with the standard python system calls.
