QUESTION
I have an interface that describes basic database CRUD operations like so:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Feb-13 at 00:43Not really sure how to explain it other than to just show you, but here is what I would do (with some filler code to make things work, but just focus on the interfaces). But basically you define an interface, and pass in the types you want it to support inside <>. So below I do
QUESTION
I read many similar posts, mostly examples are with callbacks. I am trying to create a comment and add it to my Post.
...ANSWER
Answered 2020-Nov-03 at 17:25You can use findOneAndUpdate()
. In your case it will find the Post and update the Post with commentId.
I'm assuming your Post Schema looks somewhat similar to this -
QUESTION
I want different values from the nested schema. How can I populate them so that every field is showing me its nested data and not the object ID? I'm using MongoDB and node/express.
This is my postDB where the post schema is defined:
...ANSWER
Answered 2020-Oct-20 at 12:38Try chaining multiple populate methods and using the exec method to pass your callback.
QUESTION
I created the app using express and MongoDB. When I run the app locally it runs perfectly.I created a PostDB database on MongoDB atlas and generated and got connection string.I want to deploy this app using heroku but I don't why it gives this error. Please help me. Thanks in advance.
This is my connection string:
...ANSWER
Answered 2020-Jul-23 at 04:29I think you have a mistake in your connection string.
According to MongoDB docs, connection string should start with mongodb://
, not with the leading \
in the front.
I also recommend you to use Promises or Async/Await for your connections, like the following snippet below:
QUESTION
I have a widget that makes a request to an api which returns a map. What I would like to do is not make the same request every time the widget is loaded and save the list to appState.myList
. But. when I do this appState.myList = snapshot.data;
in the FutureBuilder
, I get the following error:
ANSWER
Answered 2020-Mar-19 at 23:32That exception arises because you are synchronously modifying a widget from its descendants.
This is bad, as it could lead to an inconsistent widget tree. Some widget. may be built widgets using the value before mutation, while others may be using the mutated value.
The solution is to remove the inconsistency. Using ChangeNotifierProvider
, there are usually 2 scenarios:
The mutation performed on your
ChangeNotifier
is always done within the same build than the one that created yourChangeNotifier
.In that case, you can just do the call directly from the constructor of your
ChangeNotifier

QUESTION
I have UITableView
that lists social media posts with images in them.
Once all the post details have loaded and the images cached it looks great but while it loads it often shows the wrong image with the wrong post.
I have been struggling and coming back to this issue for months. I don't think it is a loading issue it almost looks like iOS dumps the image an any old cell until it finds the right one but honestly I'm out of ideas.
Here is my image extension that also takes care of the caching:
...ANSWER
Answered 2019-Dec-09 at 05:14you are using in your cellForRowAt
function with a reusable cells, although the cell is ever load and unload information, we both know that when a picture is downloading, the downloading is not quick, you need download your images in any function except cellForRowAt
. for example
if you have an array of urls
QUESTION
I created a Swift UITableView of posts, each post including some text and a chart image. The image is loaded asynchronously using SDWebImage and Firebase. Images have different heights, but a fixed width.
Here is a short video showing the display issue : https://youtu.be/QzQFT2z0GjA
Some cells are not displayed correctly the first time, but look perfect after some scrolling. I read about using layoutIfNeeded and setNeedsLayout as suggested in this post or iOS 11 UITableViewAutomaticDimension but it does not seem to work in my case.
Here is my code :
...ANSWER
Answered 2018-Jan-23 at 20:11The solution consists in adding chartWidth and chartHeight params in the Post object and adding their values for each post in the Firebase database, and then setting some constraints to precalculate the cell height before the image is downloaded.
In TableViewCell.swift add :
QUESTION
I have a Cloud Function which resizes the current uploaded image. After the resizing happened and I get a new image URL. And this new url I would like to add/update to the users post-data who uploaded the image to Firestore.
But my problem is that I don't know how to get the current user uid and the created postId after upload to firestore
Code:
...ANSWER
Answered 2019-Aug-06 at 08:00The user who made the write is not available in the function unless you do either:
- Use the UID as part of the path to the file, and parse that UID out of the path in the function.
- Write the UID as part of the metadata for the file upload, then read that in the function.
In both cases, you will want to use security rules to validate the UID matches the user who wrote it.
QUESTION
I really want to know why the data is overwritten when the user types new data, I want it to add more data to it not overwrite it the data Also want to know how to read it Thank you in advance
...ANSWER
Answered 2019-Jul-23 at 18:30setValue
overwrites the old content , You may need childByAutoId
QUESTION
I have the next code...
...ANSWER
Answered 2019-Jul-14 at 03:07The Firebase code is running asynchronously, and you're shuffling the array before the callback function runs. You need to move that code into the callback function.

Install postDB
You can use postDB like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.
