Arguments is a Python library typically used in Telecommunications, Media, Media, Entertainment applications. Arguments has no bugs, it has no vulnerabilities and it has low support. However Arguments build file is not available. You can download it from GitHub.

Arguments is a Python script for scraping and storing oral argument metadata from federal courts of appeal. The script currently gathers data on arguments in the First, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, D.C. and Federal circuits. It extracts links to the argument recordings and information about the case, including the caption, docket number, date argued, media format and other relevant details. (Some circuits provide more detail than others.) It stores the data in a MySQL table. I use this as the data collection routine for Arguments can also share new entries to social media. My implementation posts every new recording to

Concurrent Counter Struct with Type Argument in Rust
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 23:55

I was following along with this tutorial on creating a concurrent counter struct for a usize value: ConcurrentCounter. As I understand it, this wrapper struct allows us to mutate our usize value, with more concise syntax, for example:my_counter.increment(1) vs. my_counter.lock().unwrap().increment(1).

Now in this tutorial our value is of type usize, but what if we wanted to use a f32, i32, or u32 value instead?

I thought that I could do this with generic type arguments:

I haven't come across such a ConcurrentCounter library, but crates.io is huge, maybe you find something. However, if you are mostly concerned with primitives such as i32, there is a better alternative call: Atomics, definitely worth checking out.

Nevertheless, your approach of generalizing the ConcurrentCounter is going in a good direction. In the context of operation overloading, std::ops is worth a look. Specifically, you need Add, Sub, and Mul, respectively. Also, you need a Copy bound (alternatively, a Clone would also do). So you were pretty close:

How to type-constrain the entries of a Raku function's array argument?
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 23:08

I am trying to define a subroutine in Raku whose argument is, say, an Array of Ints (imposing that as a constraint, i.e. rejecting arguments that are not Arrays of Ints).

Question: What is the "best" (most idiomatic, or straightforward, or whatever you think 'best' should mean here) way to achieve that?

Examples run in the Raku REPL follow.

            Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 06:40

I think the main misunderstanding is that my Int @a = 1,2,3 and [1,2,3] are somehow equivalent. They are not. The first case defines an array that will only take Int values. The second case defines an array that will take anything, and just happens to have Int values in it.

I'll try to cover all versions you tried, why they didn't work, and possibly how it would work. I'll be using a bare dd as proof that the body of the function was reached.

I am using a method to remove univariate outliers. This method only works if the vector contains outliers.

How is it possible to generalize this method to work also with vectors without outliers. I tried with ifelse without success.

Ok, but yours is an unnecessarily difficult approach. At each step of the merge process, you want half of your threads to wait for the other half to finish, and the most natural way for one thread to wait for another to finish is to use pthread_join(). If you wanted all of your threads to continue with more work after synchronizing then that would be different, but in this case, those that are not responsible for any more merges have nothing at all left to do.

            This is what I've tried:

Express regular request handlers are expected to have no more than 3 arguments as you can verify here.

            And looking up Function.length:

length is a property of a function object, and indicates how many arguments the function expects, i.e. the number of formal parameters. This number excludes the rest parameter and only includes parameters before the first one with a default value.

It becomes clear why the second function works and the first one doesn't:

Your #olark-box-wrapper is a div with position:absolute; top: 0; height:100%; z-index:9999999999; ... no wonder it's taking up the full height of the right window area on top of everything else. And even though it's a transparent div, mouse clicks are handled by the event handlers of that div, not by those of the elements below it.

You could add pointer-events: none; to that div, making it "transparent" to user interaction. You may have to add pointer-events: visible; to its childs, to avoid the pointer-events: none; attribute being inherited by the children.

Alternatively, you could change the layout so that the #olark-box-wrapper is exactly the same height as its children.

One note about your choice of z-index: this number might be a bit too high, see Minimum and maximum value of z-index? (tl;dr: keep it in the range of a signed 32-bit number).
