QUESTION
I'm using the latest version of pyo3 (main branch) and it's not clear how I can store an instance of a class, say Store
in the below example, on another class. For example, the following code composes two classes, Store
and MyClass
and will work to a degree.
ANSWER
Answered 2021-May-26 at 22:12If you want to have the same objects inside MyClass
and Python, you'll have to wrap store
in Py

QUESTION
TL;DR - trying to compile this multi-sheet Pycel tests/fixture spreadsheet (I'm particularly interested in capturing inter-sheet dependencies) using into Python code using Pycel
The ProblemThe helpful Pycel example in the example/example.py in the Pycel repository runs perfectly and produces a handy .gexf graph, however, I can't work out how to compile a multi-sheet Spreadsheet (in my use case there is terrifying inter-sheet dependencies!) using Pycel.
@Stephen Rauch mentioned that "Pycel does really deal with sheets. It works with cells. Those cells can come from any sheet in the workbook" in this Stackoverflow discussion, however, I couldn't find any detail on this in the Pycel repo or in prior questions.
What I triedI tried compiling the spreadsheet included in tests/fixtures/excelcompiler.xlsx as this is multi-sheet and it only seems to compile for Sheet1 as the resulting plot is empty (Sheet1 is empty).
...ANSWER
Answered 2020-May-05 at 09:06Pycel compiles multi-sheet Excel spreadsheets easily. Pycel's function pycel.ExcelCompiler
is lazy and so doesn't actually compile Excel into Python until explicitly asked to do so via excel.evaluate('Result!E16')}
(i.e. evaluate some cell)
I tried:
QUESTION
TL;DR - trying to clean this up but unsure of the best practice for compiling a list of variables and still separating them on individual lines on the .txt file they're being copied to.
This is my first post here.
I've recently created a script to automate an extremely tedious process at work that involves modifying an excel document, copying and pasting outputs from specifics cells depending on the type of configuration we are generating and pasting into 3 separate .txt files to send out via email.
I've got the script functioning, but I hate how my code looks and to be honest, it is quite the pain to try to make additions to.
I'm using openpyxl & pycel for this, as the cells I copy are outputs from a formula that I couldn't seem to get anything except for #N/A when strictly using openpyxl so I integrated pycel for that piece.
I've referenced my code below, & I appreciate any input.

and list comprehensions
to keep your code flexible.
QUESTION
Right now I'm working on combining Excel sheets into 1 new sheet, using pandas which is working. The only problem is that the value inside the new Excel sheet are plain numbers instead of the Formulas and I would like the Formulas.

Install pycel
You can use pycel like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.
