Change the SYNTHRIDERS_DIR variable to the FULL PATH of your Synth Riders installation in srz.py line 4
Copy the srz.desktop file to $HOME/.local/share/applications
Type: xdg-mime default srz.desktop x-scheme-handler/synthriderz
