When my journey into the world of electronics started, a friend of mine has shown me the beautiful creations capable of presenting time using cold cathode tubes. Ever since then, I wanted to create something similar, as it seemed like a pretty cool thing to do!. After some time, and two PCB revisions, the clock was actually useful, wasn't exploding, and was looking quite neat overall to me.

            QUESTION

            Hidden Div Text Reappears?
            Asked 2020-May-27 at 01:19

Can anyone help me figure out why after you hover over the div that says 'HEADER TEXT' the text reappears underneath the hovering DIV?

The divs in question are #headerctgunnar, #headerchovergunnar, and #headercgunnar ... At first I just had #headercgunnard and #hoverchovergunnar but I added in the new div to see if having a div between the one with "HEADER TEXT" in it and the one that appears on hover would help, which it didn't.

            ...

I'm not entirely sure what all is happening with each layer - it looks like there may be something weird with the z-indexs? It seems like the text only shows back up once the opacity reaches 1, which means some other element it was relaying on for the hover state might be getting covered up.

I think, though, that you could fix it by just adding an explicit opacity change to the element.

            Install nixie

You can download it from GitHub.
You can use nixie like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.
