kandi X-RAY | DjangoKit Summary

DjangoKit is a Python library. DjangoKit has no bugs, it has no vulnerabilities, it has build file available and it has low support. You can download it from GitHub.

This is a friendly fork of Tom Insam's DjangoKit. I forked it here in an attempt to get it up and running on my Lion box with Python2.7 and Django 1.3+. DjangoKit is a framework that will take a Django application, and turn it into a stand-alone MacOS application with a local database and media files. First we need to make sure that the prereqs are installed. Py2app won't bundle the Python.framework from the OS so we need another interpreter. I've used Homebrew but MacPorts and such should also work.

You can use DjangoKit like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.
