A Raspberry Pi is a tiny computer that can do many things. They're nice because you can just leave them running somewhere in your house, and whatever weird art project you're doing won't rely on your own computer being open or connected. For our purposes, we will use the Pi to take photos with a webcam and tweet them. Follow this guide to set up your Pi for the first time, plugging it in to your monitor with your HDMI cable, and also plugging in the keyboard and mouse. Then, connect your Pi to your wifi network.
If you haven't already, make a Twitter account for your little plant bot. Then, go to https://apps.twitter.com, click "key and access tokens," and generate them. If you're doing this with your Pi connected to a monitor, it's probably easiest to do it through the Pi's web browser.
