QUESTION
My code here to get data from Wikipedia:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Aug-29 at 08:16The error is because you are trying to explicitly convert JObject
into a string
, which is not possible using conversion, only by using Serilization.
But I understand you actually want the "PageId", which by the json structure, look like you need to take the "first key" from the response. (Actually there are more ways)
So instead of

I'm quite new to javascript and jsfiddle. I've been able to toy around with other fiddles that I find, but setting one up myself has proved difficult.
I'm attempting to use a library from npm to get a proof of concept for how it might work. I'm not sure why my import of the module is not working with jsfiddle.
What am I missing to get my fiddle working?

QUESTION
I am trying to perform a GET query search in elasticsearch using httpclient. Whenever I do so though, I get an error when hitting my HttpResponseMessage response
variable. It tells me it is a 400 (Bad request).
I checked my jsonQuery
and copy that jsonObject and paste it into the CLI of Kibana and I actually get results in the CLI. So I am not understanding why I am getting a 400 bad request.
If I am doing a GET /"indexname"/_search in the CLI of kibana would I need to use .PostAsJsonAsync()
?
ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jul-28 at 20:31You can use existing json string. Try this, it could be working
QUESTION
I am trying to pass my variable query as a Json object. So I saw online that one way to do so is by doing JObject.Parse()
. I attempted to do so, but when debugging I noticed that .Parse()
would create a "{" at the beginning and a "}" at the end of the contents of the variable query
. So I then attempted to remove the first "{" and last "}" inside of query
but whenever I would hit the JObject.Parse()
line, it would throw an exception saying:
Error reading JObject from JsonReader. Current JsonReader item is not an object: String. Path '', line 1, position 6.
So I then attempted to use the code after query, but this would still give me the same error when I hit the next line that consisted of JObject.Parse()
:
ANSWER
Answered 2021-Jul-28 at 16:57That double parentheses "issue" is just debugger display for JObject
in Visual Studio. If you actually try to output JObject
as a string, you'll get correct output.
QUESTION
I have been trying to retrieve inner elements using ReactJs. If my input is country=NZ then I am expecting 4 results, it should consider the inner array also, however when I used jsonQuery it is not able to go to the inner array and fetching only 3 results, and it's not going inside friends1. Is there any way we can fetch inner array elements as well?

QUESTION
I using json-query because it lets me find by path inside the JSON object.
After I find it I want to replace the value with a new value and I expected it to affect the string, but it doesn't.
Is there a way to do it using with json-query? or rebuild this JSON again from the object but I can't find a way in the docs.

QUESTION
I have a scope which is acting in a limiting fashion depending on a user role in a way that you can forward a set of rules to the scope limiting the final output from the DB.
A really simplified role limit example:
...ANSWER
Answered 2020-Jul-21 at 09:27Since scopes are usually chained (called fluently), and the scope isn't directly responsible for executing the query, I don't think you can "gracefully exit" since the next call will still be expecting a Builder
object to work on.
One possible solution (Not simple), would be to create a class that extends the Builder
class, and override all of the methods responsible for actually fetching results from the DB. I am not sure all of the methods you would need to override for this to work without error in all cases. You probably would also want to handle some of the insertion and update cases in the AbortedBuilder
as well.

Install jsonquery
You can use jsonquery like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.
