            I am fairly new to AWS and Sagemaker and have decided to follow some of the tutorials Amazon has to familiarize myself with it. I've been following this one (tutorial) and I've realized that it's an older tutorial using Sagemaker v1. I've been able to look up and change whatever is needed for the tutorial to work in v2 but I became stuck at this part for storing the training data in a S3 bucket to deploy the model.

            It looks like they've left some of the code out, or changed the terminology and left in predictions by accident. predictions is an object that is defined on this page https://docs.aws.amazon.com/sagemaker/latest/dg/ex1-test-model.html

            Process two CSV fies to find similar data and write results to 3rd csv file

            I am trying to read two CSV files with the data listed below, compare the MAC addresses from each file, if a MAC exists in both files, write the following information to a 3rd CSV file(final.csv)

            • mac, interface, vlan, ip

            The two input files are:

            1. swfile - information from MAC table on switch(mac-address, interface, vlan)
            2. rtrfile - information from ARP table on router(mac-address, IP address)

            I can run through a single file and get all of the information, but when I add the code to include reading and comparing against the 2nd file, I only get the first mac from the first file, it compares against the MACs in the second file, then it ends. It does not go through the rest of the MACs in the first file.

            A better approach would be to read both files into a list or dict, and then iterate over that to produce your output. I prefer a dict because that allows us to easily check if the MAC addresses in the second file already exist in the first file. For example:

            I am currently pulling JSON log files from an S3 bucket which contain different types of logs defined as RawLog, along with another value which is MessageSourceType (there are more metadata fields which I don't care about). Each line on the file is a separate log in case that makes a difference.

            I currently have these all going into 1 index as seen in my config below, however, I ideally want to split these out into separate indexes. For example, if the MessageSourceType = Syslog - Linux Host then I need logstash to extract the RawLog as syslog and place it into an index called logs-syslog, whereas if the MessageSourceType = MS Windows Event Logging XML I want it to extract the RawLog as XML and place it in an index called logs-MS_Event_logs.

            Perl tries to use every odd argument as hash key and every even one as hash value, so with an odd number of arguments you get that "odd number of arguments" error cause you put all arguments to find in an anonymous hash ref. The file name / path has no hash key, so move that out of the hashref.

            Using Linear Learner in Sagemaker with MXNet RecordIO, I get "The header of the MXNet RecordIO record at position 5,089,840 in the dataset does not start with a valid magic number" after fit() has been running 38 minutes.

            The file was generated using this code. Note that I tried two ways to upload to S3. I also tried direct upload of the BytesIO as well as upload of a file, shown here.

            scapy "Ether()" does not have "chksum" argument

            The "frame check sequence" is a 32-bit CRC "checksum" over the entire Ethernet frame, starting with the DMAC and covering the SMAC, type, and payload. It's transmitted as the last four bytes of an Ethernet frame, just before the interpacket gap.

            I expect Scapy's Ether() method to have an argument for a packet attribute for this field. It does not.

            Note that Scapy methods like IP() and TCP()/UDP() contain a checksum argument ("chksum") for the additional checksums defined for those protocols.

            The FCS isn't implemented on Ethernet frames in Scapy for two reasons.

            • First, historically, Scapy had trouble to get a FCS if it was at the end of a packet (but that's no longer the case, as FCSField is a thing now).
            • Secondly, most OSes don't supply it by default and when they do, there's no way of knowing that there actually is a FCS other than assuming that the padding at the end of the packet is the FCS. If you feel that it should be added, you should probably open an issue on their tracker.

            Scapy builds the chksum arguments automatically when you build a packet. Building a packet means converting it to bytes: using bytes(pkt) or raw(pkt) (or pkt.build())

            You can't pass a dataframe directly to the built-in KNN algo. It supports two input training formats: CSV, or RecordIO protobuf: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/sagemaker/latest/dg/kNN-in-formats.html.

            The latter is more efficient, so it's the one we recommend.

            In your case, you would simply need to convert your dataframe to a numpy array with to_numpy(), and then you can reuse the code in the notebook.

            I finally got the SW = 9000 from ext. auth.

            Used Script Chaining for both initialize update and ext. auth command.

            All these initialize update and external authentication commands should be sent in one single session. That, depending on how eUICC's OS is programmed, could be realized via script chaining concept by which eUICC will understand that the session will be continued and further subsequent commands are to be sent by the host.

            For learning about script chaining procedure please refer to ETSI TS 102 226, section Script Chaining TLV.
